State of the Server 05MAR2015

So, as some of you may have noticed, there were some quick changes recently, as well as a few staffing changes. I've decided, to bring to light, a bit of the situation that has happened.

Firstly, Octagon retired, and left HeadAdmin, to Unknown Murder. Octagon, wasn't able to put in the time necessary to function as a Headmin, so he stepped down. This, left us with an open position.

We had been discussing who to promote, with both me and UM believing that Oliver would be a good fit. However, shortly before this, he had made a statement that he intended to leave CM for UT (which, unbeknownst to me or UM, he had applied for in Janurary (he applied and was accepted here in Feburary)). I persuaded him, to stay, since we had planned to promote him to headmod. He held the position, for around 36 hours. During that time, there were some minor arguments between staff, and some minor incidents, resulting in his resignation.

Now, I originally started sorting through the logs, messages, and images hurled at me, to try and find some reason behind this, and get to the source of the problem. However, upon investigation, it seems as though, Oliver was the source of part of the problem, with some other staff members contributing. Mistakes, were made on all sides, and I regret the way it turned out. Unfortunately, I was at one of my two jobs when this all went down, so I wasn't able to do anything at the time. I would have hoped, to resolved this without anyone leaving, but alas, it's not to be.

As of now, the position of HeadMod is open again, but I want to get the player's feedback. I have created a survey-monkey page, for you guys to fill out, so I can try and make the server better. We've had some MAJOR adjustments to the heads over the last 72 hours, and it's time to pick up the pieces and move on. We need to circle the wagons, and work to make the server as good as it can be.
