Today, we turn 1 year old. It's been, 1 year, since we started this community after leaving NE, and we've seen a lot of shit and we're still around.

Many people thought that when we split from New Eden, that we'd not last very long or die right away. But we've spent a year working on our codebase and make improvements, and just thinking back to where we came from makes me feel a bit happy with what we've accomplished.

That being said, I'd like to thank everyone who's played on, staffed, or helped CM throughout the last year. We've managed to do what I originally thought was impossible and not only become one of the top population servers, but continue to try and deliver an experience our players enjoy.

But, we aren't stopping here. We just released our HUGE projectile overhaul, and coming soon we've got plans to push out an alien overhaul as well as the new research update and a medical overhaul as well.
If you'd asked me a year ago, if we'd be doing as good as we are doing now, I'd probably have said no. But I'm glad that we took off and that we have a loyal playerbase that enjoys the experience we work to create.
So, to everyone: Thanks for playing, and feel free to keep playing!



UPDATE:

PARDON THE DUST. We've had 2 head staff retire recently, I'm working to get everything situation, but I am also recovering from the massive workload I've got extra as a result of my recent hospitalization, trip to arizona, and work on a short film. So please, understand some things may be delayed a bit.

I've been with this Game-mode/concept for over four years now, and from the various communities that it created. It's changed so much from what it was, maybe it can be more than we could ever imagine if we work together, the reason why we're one of the top server is because of the experience we provide with the community that supports it, it's always welcoming newcomers.

It seems only like yesterday we were on the Nostromo... (and not that April fools joke). It's come a long way from the year ago I played (never actually did make a forum account) and now look at where it's come. Another year onward we march.

I just wanted to say that as an admin and longtime staff member from NE that this entire server would fail if it wasn't for our loyal playerbase, staff team and heads.

Apop pulled us out from the fallout of two seperate hosts hosting us and the large ammount of disreputation we got from NE. If it wasn't for apop I doubt this community would be anywhere near what it is today and if it wasn't for our glorius co-host and previous headadmins (Octagan, SAS, Felkvir) over that course apop wouldn't have had the support to carry him in.

After being loyal from the very start of infestation servers, makes me smile to see how far they've come from the once admin abusive griefs, to a server that actual has a set of rules, good admins, a "good" playerbase, and a working system.
