It's not a requirement to make a story about your first hunt, it's not in the forum rules and essentially all the backstory is there for (as far as I'm thinking) is to make a general picture of your character.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.
