End of Greytide Provisions (and some other stuff)
So, the Greytide season has ended mostly, and we are now rescinding our previous "matrial law" levels of enforcement. Staff are being encouraged to be more forgiving again, and those who are suffering from PTSD as a result of GreyTide2016 are receiving treatment.
This is alerting people that two of our temporary provisions are now REMOVED:
Those being:
1. Drama Threads will no longer be instantly deleted or locked. They will still get locked if they get silly out of hand. Feel free to be critical, but don't be giant dickbags. If you feel a thread gets locked unjustly, PM me and I'll check it out. People can become very emotional in drama/complaint threads, so we don't want threads to become people just tearing others down for no reason.
2. Greytide Emergency Rules are rescinded. This means that we will be a little more Lax with stuff and we'll warn/discuss situations before bans. This does NOT mean you can argue with staff for a lengthy period, just that we'll be a bit more understanding. Remember, if staff are making a decision you are upset with, bring the complaint to the proper section of the forums and it will be investigated.
3. We've removed the "no ban appeals for 24 hour or less" condition as well. However, the appeals process still sits around 48-72 hours. But, if the appeal is passed, we'll remove the associated note.
4. We are keeping the "false reports/complaints" rule. HOWEVER, we are laxing what we consider false reports/complaints due to the fact that it can be perspective. I urge you not to make salt filled staff or player complaints right away, but take a moment to think back on them, format them properly, and provide clear and concise reasoning and evidence. So long as it looks like you've taken the complaint seriously and have evidence to back yourself up, it will NOT be considered a false report/complaint. However, if you post with no evidence or fabricated evidence it will be a false report/complaint. This might seem complicated, but basically if you aren't just making fake complaints it shouldn't affect you. Also, we are instilling a new procedure where for a complaint to be considered false it needs to be agreed on as being false by 2 heads, neither of which can be involved in the complaint.
Additionally, we are working on trying to improve staff-player communication as well. If you feel a staff member is being too judgmental or unreasonable, make a complaint about the staff in the staff section and it will be investigated. We are also working on a new staff manual which will be published soonish.
Finally, I know some of you are wondering what's going on with the stuff from the Town Halls. We ARE working on some of the stuff, but the last few weeks have been difficult and we've been deplayed with recent events. Please keep that in mind. We'll get the stuff done and out when we can.

Don't keep hope. There is still some greytide still wondering about in those player list. Unless CM plays to 35-50 I have doubts that greytide are gone.

3 hour bans now. w00t.
I always feel bad when I ban someone for 24 hours.

"Welcome back everyone from our Greytide2016 field trip! What did we learn today, class?!"
"How easy it is to wipe out the entire command staff in briefing as a specialist!"
"Correct!"
"How to get away with murdering an MP and how to further ruin your standing with the CM playerbase!"
"Correct again!"
"How to properly say you'll use your drone d--- to clear out the Queen's a---!"
"Corre- wow now hold on here clas-"
"How to murder a fellow Yautja and take his trophies! And how to get the entire staff to vote you off of the whitelist!"
"Now we don't have to be that extreme here peo-"
"Getting an RO arrested as CL for not giving me attachments at round start!"
"T-t-t-the cancer, i-t's to much..."
"A fail griefer who barely hurt anyone?"
"Okay, that isn't as bad."
"How to hack a staff member's account and use the code sent out to power game for a round?"
"I'm f------ done people, I'm resigning, peace out you mother f------ b-------. F--- all of you! See you a--hats in Hell, p---heads!"
I may be a shitler, but even though I've done nothing to contribute or help the server I love you guys, and I love these players. Glad to hear new players will be able to learn about the server and receive a smaller ban due to CM being their first SS13 server. I just wish that players would be more open to helping the new guys instead of calling them a dirty baldie in LOOC, further confusing them and stifling the growth of our community.
On an unrelated note, where is the patreon link? I want my donator item limited edition "I survived Greytide2016" shirts!

It's not dying after you shot it a couple of times? I think the real question is, why didn't you keep shooting?

Re: End of Greytide Provisions (and some other stuff)
I'd buy a "I survived greytide" coat or shirt (Not T-Shirt).
Also, I'm one of those that helps Greytide, but when they grief I don't quite bother with them since they're much more of an hindrance than anything.

CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Hopefully this'll mean less marines running off and Ramboing, less riots over attachments, and maybe even less SMs being exploded due to carelessness.
Also, I do look forward to friendlier admins.. I already got a rather scary first impression from most of them.

There's a reason you were ousted from Yog adminship and summarily removed a second time when you re-applied. This kind of behavior speaks to that.EXOTICISME wrote: From my experience, i feel like i accomplish something when i permaban someone. Just like removing a stain from your plate.

Eh.. let's not start a drama in here. I just gonna say that the reason i removed is because i don't have retired rank and xantam didn't tell me that people who don't have that aren't eligible to be back. It has nothing to do with the dzlan case if you are talking about that (But please, let's not start a drama here, if you want to talk with me privately or tell my behavior back then just don't do it in this thread)EMT_321 wrote: There's a reason you were ousted from Yog adminship and summarily removed a second time when you re-applied. The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.
