Since I came from Byond in the early 2005, how did you guys find it? I wonder...

I find Byond because I am close friend to one of the Dev... you? Or how you find CM?

I found a video on youtube and i was like "wtf is this shity 2d spessman game" Later i instaled it and then i was like I LOVE IT

And the first SERVER I EVER PLAYED was COLONIAL MARINES

I don't really remember how I got started. I remember I played on it once after watching some videos but gave up and then returned to it a year later with some friends.

I played on a now-decommissioned station before playing Apollo mainly. Once I jumped into their TS, they referenced Colonial Marines, which I thought they were talking about the Gearbox version.

They then introduced me to the server just as the round was ending and we blew our brains out with shotguns to test the suicide mechanic because I was new to basically anything outside of Apollo.

Thus, I became part of CM. Well, until the deactivation code is given, that is.

I found some videos by plump helmet punk? didnt think anything of it although I watched a lot of his videos. But I didnt have a computer at the time and it was from a LONG time ago so i was probably 8/9.

A year ago almost to the dot my friend Outboarduniform kept telling me to get the game and eventually I did. When I first joined I didn't know how to do anything but my character and I made /Carlos Bennett/. From there I learned how to actually play from Kendel Vendetti's (Saul Freytia) youtube videos.

Been playing the game since May I think, and have loved it ever since playing this server pretty much whenever I could.

I had a buddy who stumbled upon this game and he kept spamming the types of viruses he created in virology. I downloaded byond and played on Aurora station for awhile and the people there helped me become adept at the awkward controls. After I became bored of the non-combat jobs I played on this server. Now I love this server and the Alien franchise. I rented all of the movies and binged them in one sit down. I had to turn off AVP Req though...

I played the TG version of this which was filled with grief, metacomms, and a bad owner. It was still immensly fun and I missed it when it was taken down.

Played NoX regularly, then /tg/, then Hippie, then found CM.

Wish I found CM again before they nerfed Engineering because on the /tg/ version of CM I mained Engineering and made autism forts 24/7.

I played other servers because i though cm was cancer and basically a containment for all the shitters but then i was like "fuck it" and played it. My first impressions were "How the hell do you fire a gun" and "Why was i arrested for holding a gun". I was a shitty doctor.

I played this bitch back when there was still Royal Jelly. That meme was real because you needed Royal Jelly to evolve and sometimes the Queen would just say fuck you to some ayys and befriend the others by stuffing it down their throats. Just recently I have gotten more active on the forums but I've always been somewhat informed on its activity.

Who doesn't notice this server on ss13 high pop and wonder "Hey, why does this have 60+ people on it?" (Back then that was preetty good for this server). But now it's like 110+ and at least a dozen or two of those are autistic 12 year old "MUUUHHHREEEEINES".

I still come back though because there are always those fun moments you'll remember, like when I chased down a Queen with two other Alpha squad, they got captured and hugged quick but I luckily managed to kill the Queen before they face raped me as well.

I used to pay Paradise Station only, and a friend of mine from there tried CM. He told me the "staff were complete Nazis" but it was a fun shooty game. He coaxed me into playing it, but just told me not to "accidently break any rules because the staff are really ban happy"... and, well..
