Gun Related Thread - LIBERALS STAY OUT

Post by CraayyZ » 30 May 2017, 19:23

While in game some of you are some hard motherfuckers. Kicking ass and taking names, making sure the almighty lord above continues to have hard ons for the Colonial Marines.

The real question is - How many of you "ultimate badasses" have actually fired a REAL gun? (NOT A WHEEL GUN) I'm talking In Real Life (For those of you who never seen the light of day..) I'm talking about that victory powder smell you get after popping a few rounds off and cracking a cold one with the boys.

I'll go first, I own a: 12 Gauge Mossberg 500 that I've shot slugs, and buckshot out of. I also own a .30-06 Winchester Model 70 that I've yet to shoot cause I haven't bought a scope for it.. yet. I plan on buying either a Full size M&P 9 in 9mm, or a SIG P320 when I turn 21. (6 more months REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE) I've also been eye'ing an Yugoslavian AK, an AR-15 and a SKS.

so, What firearms do y'all own? What Caliber? Why? What gun(s) do you want to buy in the near future? Perhaps slap a pic down below so the ATF- I mean we can admire it together. <3

I've gone to a gun range and fired a plethora of different handguns. I also once fired a rifle but uh, wasn't that good of a shot. I've fired glocks, 45. pistols, snubnose revolvers and a few others. Not the specific names but uh, just some calibers and types

My favorite guns I've ever shot: MP5 SD and the AR 50 (I think, might have been a similar rifle)

The latter was a .50 cal and it nearly took my shoulder off... I accidentally hit the hammer the gun range fellas used to nail targets to the posts and it tore the head clear off of the fiberglass handle and flung it into the ether. Good times.

My uncle let me fire a hunting rifle. He's a bit of a gun nut, but I don't know the name. Bullet casings are HOT, is the lesson learned from the memory.

I mean, I hit a bird. It was no consolation though.

I'll be 21 in 6 months. I plan on either buying a M&P 9, SIG P320 or a Glock 19 for my first handgun. Can't wait :)

I've fired, a .22 rifle, an unspecified higher cal than .22 rifle, a muzzle loaded rifle, 12&20 gauge shotguns(which I did not like at all), a 9mm, a .44, and a .45. (It's been at least 10 years since I've fired anything though)

Almost all of those were with boyscouts and young marines. Haven't really had cash in the budget to pick up a gun for myself yet unfortunately, but it's something the majority of my friend group plans to do so we can go to the range together.
"Memories can be vile. Repulsive little brutes, like children I suppose. But can we live without them? Memories are what our reason is based upon. If we can't face them, we deny reason itself! Although, why not? We aren't contractually tied down to rationality. There is no sanity clause. So when you find yourself locked down in an unpleasant train of thought, heading for the places in your past where the screaming is unbearable, remember: There's always madness. You can just step outside and close the door, and all those dreadful things that happened, you can lock them away. Madness... is an emergency exit."

Those are all good choices! I'm also a fan of the SIG pistols, one of those will probably be my choice when I'm 21.

DO IT. I have several friends who want to own a gun but don't have the knowledge of what to go for/stay away from. Thankfully I'm there to help ;)

They are! I wouldn't substitute for less. My brother has a M&P Shield in 9mm (M&P 9 but single stacked for conceal carry) and when I shot it, I swear the recoil was not even noticable. The gun shot so smoothly, made me wanna get a M&P even more! despite people talking crap about their triggers (Which is ass when dry firing, not when actual shooting tho) Glocks have the aftermarket and rock solid reliable behind them which I love (not sure if the ergo of the Glock I'll love tho, we'll see!) and as for SIG. I like SIG pistols alot. If they're good enough for the U.S. Army to start implementing them as their main sidearm, they're good enough for me! I really like the SIG SP-2022, SIG P226 (too expensive), and SIG P320 (The new pistol the U.S. Army is getting) in particular.

.38 caliber S&W revolver, double-action, recessed hammer, 5-round cylinder, usually hollow-point rounds. Love it so much.
9 mil Beretta, standard slide-operated handgun, haven't really had a chance to shoot it much due to training.
18 gage Benelli pump-action shotgun, 5-shell capacity, loadout changes depending on target, but slugs if not in use for anything else for the ability to shoot through walls. Very fun weapon.

My little brother has a rack in his room with a M1 carbine (Fun to shoot), a Steyr-Mannlicher heavy rifle (perfect for killing infantry on the Western Front circa 1915. You can feel the "industrial weapon" aspect when you fire, which is rare), and an AR-15 (Also fun to shoot).

My parents ALSO have an assortment of weaponry, but most of that's kept in the safe.

.38's a nice caliber. Probably the smallest you'd ever wanna go for Self defense ;) I prefer my 9s. By 18 gauge, you mean 12 or 20? 18 gauge is extremely rare. I hope to buy or built a AR15 soon, hopefully in the next 2 to 3 years ish. :)

I agree about .38 being small, but 5 rounds SHOULD be more than I need (or I made really bad life choices), it fits near-perfectly in my jacket pocket (2-second draw time), and hollow-points have good stopping power.

18 gauge. Italian weapon, and it is pretty uncommon.
