honestly, I wish that Pulse Rifle AP mags were the same as SMG AP mags: with every vender only having 2 or 3 of them instead of 10.

At least then it would make it so that people are more careful not to waste their valuable AP on runners.

After I solo'ed a elite empress with normal ammo, I do belive that AP is not THAT needed in a game.

Unless for crushers. They need AP as much as needed.

After playing as a Sniper Spec and running around with my suit light off on the front lines, you can really tell when an AP round hits you and when you get shot with a regular bullet. The regular bullet will maybe bring you to yellow, probably not, give you some bleeding and that's it. Stick a bandage and you're fine. The AP round will break bones, cause organ ruptures and bring you to red or crit with just one round. God forbid if you get burst-fired.

I literally take 1 AP magazine as reserve on my belt in-case of a Crusher, but that's it. I've seen someone have their arm cut off by the queen, sent up, get a robotic replacement arm, only to come back down and get burst-fired in the chest by some baldie using AP and getting put into crit instantly.

I just choose regular rounds over AP rounds even if I'm rolling with my sniper loadout. More armor penetration but less damage? Fuck that. Hell, some people will take an entire belt because "xenos have upgrades and AP will bypass the armor".

The amount of AP SMG mags got reduced to 1 per machine. I think it's too little compared to what it used to be where it was 2 per machine since this is really only enough for 2 guys, and those being squad supports who don't really pack enough for extended fights. Should probably be two per machine, especially since only a couple people will be able to access it generally.

I'm probably biased in support of AP because I mainly play Engineer and rarely am in a position to fight using it, but I don't mind personally, and I rarely friendly fire myself.

AP is a great asset to marines. That said only if it's wielded by actually competent ones.

They will get crushers, queens and other t3's to fuck off when you really need them to. That's their use.

Marines that bring AP down usually end up with some bleeding and brute damage.

Marines that bring normal ammo down usually end up with a collapsed lungs, shattered bones, and missing limbs.

tbh it sounds like the marines armour has a lower AP defensive value than the ayylmaos armour. Should probably be changed as far as i'm aware xeno's dont have AP neurotoxin so this shouldnt change their gameplay.

Every xeno class just MELTS from ap, sometimes ap does double the effective damage of normal rifle rounds, while it does sometimes one-hit ff kills it's also crucial, especialy in late game.
And I write this as someone who is most of the time on the receiving end of the ap.

And with the recent mutiny rules, they won't mutiny for not having attachments because they denied me the APs.
