My grandmother is going the Jewish route (she gets clingy during these times) and is pestering me on what I want for my birthday. I don't know what to tell her and I do not know what I want. I would ask for money but uh. I'd rather give a straight answer and be done with it. Need help giving that answer. What should I ask for (no I did not ask Yahoo)

As for the gift ... I know this may seem a little ... taboo, but rather than seeing what SHE can do for YOU, see what YOU can do for HER.

If you are wanting gifts, try to think of something unique.


Some suggestions:

Board games, like a co-op game like Forbidden Island or Pandemic (Something you can play WITH her, not AGAINST, she'll be happy you want to play and spend time with her. Her time is starting to run short, that is many people's regret's, not spending time with their grand-parents.)

Books (I know, BOOOORING, but try something by Brandon Sanderson, he has the unique way of writing multiple climaxes wave after wave, instead of books leading to a single climax, he has 1 or even 2 in every book in each of his series, yet leaves you wanting more.)

This may seem SUPER taboo, but ask for some lessons in cooking, cleaning, and laundry. I know it seems super fuckin' weird, but trust me, you'll actually come to need those, and lots of teens/adults don't even know HOW to do those things, it'll surprise you (Plus ladies like a man who can cook).

To be honest, I myself once made a "quitting" topic a good while back... But then I came back several weeks later because I had a big empty void in my life that was hard to fill...

Of course, it doesn't help that I have a modest reputation here and a a small gaggle of people that look up to me. Being one of the cool kids makes it even harder to want to leave the community behind, because then you would be abandoning people that cared about you.

Tbh. Instead of making a quitting post which really looks bad in most people eyes since it kind of makes it seem like you're looking for attention, make a post about what you don't like in CM and what you would like changed. Don't mention that you're leaving, just leave. And if the Problem is on your side, then also just leave, what's the point in making a post about it?
