Most Underrated Game of All Time?
What do you think is the most underrated game of all time? I think that PMD Explorers of Darkness/Sky/Time are really underrated, atleast with critics. Its my favorite game of all time and is the first game that made me appreciate the story of a game more.

King Kong: The Game.
Despite being a game from the old King Kong, the game is underrated from the players. Mechanics are great, the atmosphere is great, the human AI is decent enough for the time it was launched and the god dam enemy AI is annoyingly scary sometimes.
Also, first FPS that they don't give you an ammo counter, a visor for the weapon and teach you the basics by gameplay, without any text at all.
All in all, completely underrated game.

Game was fun as fuck. Still shook about those dinos, coming at you while you hid in the ruins. Game was rough on a younger me.BladeBr wrote: ↑28 Jan 2018, 05:37King Kong: The Game.

The worst part for me was when a T-Rex had appeared. At the time I just akimmed the manual and didn't read the part where he's immortal to bullets.
I remember shooting him with my tommy gun and was like "why it's not damaging him, WHY ITS NOT DAMAGING HIM" then he turned to me and roared...
My reaction from that:

That is scarily accurate. I definitely remember not wanting to move into the area that triggered the TRex to come out, because that was the era of extremely scripted sequences.BladeBr wrote: ↑06 Feb 2018, 07:10Yeah, its terribly scary.

Homeworld series.
One of the first, if not the first RTS game on a 3D dimension X - Y - Z axis to move your spaceships.
One of the best RTS game ever made due to its unique universe, awesome OSTs.
For those who want to look at it, a redux version has been made quite recently, the game is beautiful as fuck, the voices, the musics, the pew pew and the LAZELAZE are really awesome.

Re: Most Underrated Game of All Time?
Ah, I have 3:
Darkest Hour: Europe '44-'45:
Based off the original Red Orchestra game (yes, the prequel to Red Orchestra 2 which nobody seems to care about), it's a free mod a lot like the base game, but set more on the American side of things. Pretty fun despite it's age, with a decent-sized, dedicated player base, and active devs too! I'm not joking, 2 people actually picked up the torch a while back and have been releasing periodic updates for this old game for at least 2 some years now. They've even been porting stuff from the base game, and plan to do so with a similar mod (Mare Nostrum) which is currently dead.
Hammerfight:
A game about flying machines beating the shit out of eachother with swords and hammers and such set in a place which appears to be based off of ancient China. There's also an interesting story and you can beat up giant flying worms. Only 5$ on Steam too.
Bookworm Adventures, Vol 1 and 2:
An old PopCap game. You play as a green worm called Lex spelling words from a grid of random letters to defeat various enemies based off of characters from books. I know it sounds like some dumb edu-tainment game, but it's really quite fun. I still play it occasionally, not because of nostalgia, but just because it's a good game. Don't know where you'd find it online (except pirating sites), but I managed to acquire it in an OfficeMax. Buy it if you can find it, it's really good. (There's a story too, if that's a selling point for you.)
