Kinda Serious, Very Dumb

No Idea what to title this thread and odds are I'll beg staff to remove this later.

tl;dr I tantrum suicide-d out of frustration for an incredibly dumb reason due to real life stresses going on and I wanted to make a half ass-ed formal apology. NOT APPEALING ANYTHING. I anticipate getting relentlessly teased over doing this. I am sorry to all who had to deal with my childishness and I will do my best to be better.


This is more aimed at the staff and those who played in medbay in the round with me earlier today, I was Dr. Wolfgang Furzmeister (yeah the surname is stupid), and I ended up committing suicide (by 50u quickclot) due to a tantrum I had over the authorisation of drugs that I should of attempted to resolve through an IC means.

I was let off with a warning as I've never caused any issues before (least none that involved staff intervention or I know of) so I consider myself lucky that my own stupidity didn't land me a job ban from what is strangely my favourite role. I realised how I was acting and cryo'd myself and quit to go cool down, knowing I am now in one of "depressive streaks." After spending an hour to think it over the whole thing bothered me.

I am a very new player to this server, I think I started playing November time last year, if that, and found myself really enjoying it. I have felt very welcomed and had many a silly, fun and badass moment with plenty of salt, it's been such a great time so far. So because of it I basically wanted to apologise. I am sorry to CMO Kane who was the target of my tantrum, I am sorry to the other medbay and medic players who had to listen to my vitriol and I am sorry to the staff for having to reprimand me over something so outright asinine. The whole thing has made me feel deeply embarrassed and ashamed that me in my mid 20s acted in such a manner.

I'll likely retire the Wolfgang character as his "abrasive" attitude bleeds out into OOC a bit too much. I expect I'm going to be made fun of for posting this and it's a tad too personal for my liking already.
Happy note, you guys are a great community and you should keep doing what you're doing.

As far as I can tell/remember it was only Kelotane and Bicardine we could give out. The CO authorised everything but Hyperzine (and narcotics) but because someone started using chem without asking the CMO he deemed us all untrustworthy and wouldn't authorise anything. Which he's allowed to do I think.

Thanks. Felt you all deserved an actual apology as such things can colour the rest of the round and later rounds despite best efforts to ignore it.

As for your reasoning, Kane made my laugh at the idea that you lie about failing surgery to avoid doing surgery and you're actually qualified.

As far as that went I generally don't authorize anything anyway, so I only really expect what the medics already get to be mixed for them. I'm not sure what your impression was where I only allowed bicardine and kelotane, because I'm fairly certain I only mentioned kelotane in the context of being something that medics had to take care of burns anyway. I think
I would have said that bicardine and dexalin plus should be made since that's what I generally say as far as chemical mixtures go early on. I suppose I also do authorize iron as well when an acting commander wants to authorize chems, but never dermaline as mixing that round start for the medics may as well be metagaming. Although I generally don't care what doctors make for their own use as well, as long as it's beneficial.

Use IC and Roleplay to solve stuff, like, Oh so you banned X drug? Well fuck the rules and the police, I'll make it anyway and give it in the shadows until I get busted, so you're giving the MP'S something to have fun with at the same time you're having fun yourself, and of course, the medics in this case.

There's tons of ways of dealing with unpleasant stuff by Roleplay and IC actions, just need to be creative in a harmless way.
