10/10 They are paying me well over $200,000 in tuition (not including housing, food, etc etc) to become an astronaut in exchange for a few years of my 20s life. It is a great deal.

Standby to standby, hurry up and wait, embrace the suck, enjoy the cock and dont be a blade.

What's wrong with being Blade? Do you like vampires now? should I exterminate you?

Depends on your country. I'd not recommend it here.

Exactly; I mean, if you're living in the US sure, I think it's an experience worth of living, if I had the chance I would. (In the US in this case)

Not currently enlisted, but I plan to join the U.S. Coast Guard sometime in 2019. What I can tell you is that it's a job just like any other, but with more rigorous standards and traditions. Everyone has their reasons for joining, but I'd definitely recommend it if you're willing to commit to it.
Meztli 'Penumbra' Tlachi - reasonable, outgoing CMP WARRANT REVOKED; INVESTIGATION PENDING
Tonati 'Lumen' Tlachi - focused, sarcastic Doctor/Researcher
Bailey 'Androgyne' James - exactly what you'd expect
Dominick 'Umpire' Feldspar - creepy, slow-paced Officer
Dana 'Croc' Swartwout - dawdling, unsympathetic Squad Marine/Specialist
Damon 'Hellboy' Banner - satanic, pyromaniacal Squad Marine/Specialist
Amelia 'Green' Goodwin - senile, polite Corporate Liaison/Medical Researcher

At least don't join the french army. It's shit.

On another side, yeah, as a short experience you got great memories to bring back home. If you ever had time to have one while you were permanently busy with your job.
<- Sergeant in the French Regular Army (Which means leading up to 10 people, and being part of the training staff for freshly newly recruit 4 month formation)
<- 1300€ per month, roughly. 3500€ when deployed more than 2 months in a foreign country operation, regardless of your speciality.

Also returning into civilian job is a pain, I got in through tests with a high school degree only/A diploma, at both 2 and 7 years in the army you get to pass extremely important tests, both of them are equivalent to ... high school degree and/or A diploma! Yes! Epic isn't it? So beside your aqcuired experience in the served speciality, you return with almost nothing.

Also you work far more than the regular amount of time, you're not paid during extra hours and such.

And to think that to become a officer on my military you have to pass such a hard test that there were schools especialized to get you to pass it. And they are expensive as hell.

Well, pepole, you managed to convience me. I'll join the U.S army. It'll take time, because I'm still dealing with inmigration, but now I see that I can make a career in there. Though, I'd like to know what branch of the military would you reccomend.

Thanks :D

If you like not having logistics and love the suck, join the marines.

If you enjoy suck but not suck to the degree of the marines, join the army.

If you like to see the world, and be working 24/7 join the navy.

But if ice cream bars, steaks, your own private dorm room, wifi everywhere, air conditioning and an easy day at the office are your thing, join the air force.

That's only to start as OR-5 (NATO ranks), you need 2 extra years of studies above what I described for actual officers enlisting. Which is still low, yeah. But france's heavily recruiting, pretty much anyone. (Figures, they got me in)

Don't they just recruit 200 IQ pepole? I don't think I'd made the cut for that.
