Ask me about being a cop

Post by ThesoldierLLJK » 27 Jul 2018, 09:28

Yeah I don't hide it, I don't really care. I like my job and honestly everyone always wants to ask me stuff on discord.
I know there's a few other cops here, but in almost every community I've been in, people always have questions.

So ask away, but don't give me the stereotypical "hurf durf how many minorities did you shoot today" trolling questions.

How many people's attachments did you steal in the past week?

Actually we recently did a raid on a gang/drug house and took many attachments, including 2 AR-15's, 2 mossberg shotguns, and a .50 cal bolt action barrett clone.
Lots of juicy attachments as well kekeke.

I don't know much about American cops so don't laugh at me but is there a lot of paperwork?

I would describe the job as 99 percent paperwork, 1 percent "Oh shit this is gonna hurt"

Depends on the reason, but I'll just go over some normal routine stuff.

DUI Arrest:

Arrest Affidavit, usually 2 pages long explaining probable cause including SFST's
Citations
DUI Packet, 4 pages with information on SFST, driver condition, where/when stop conducted etc...
Breath Test paperwork or refusal
So about 10-12 pages worth of stuff on average

Involuntary Mental Health Examination:
Incident report 2-3 pages usually
Baker Act paperwork 2-3 pages why you're taking said person to the hospital/mental health facility
Use of Force (Sometimes they fight us)

Burglary:
Incident report
Processing fingerprints, if fingerprints located
Fingerprint analysis forms
Photographs
Any other evidence recovered

Fuck no, I actually work for a living and know what I'm doing. I wear blue, although I did a stint as Florida's Helpless Police before going blue.

What's the most ridiculous incident of self-incrimination you've witnessed?
Ingame activity ranked by frequency:

Gordie Runtsfield: Mostly standard marine and smartgunner, sometimes engineer, seldomly squad leader.

Had a drunk guy come to our station and tried to make out that his live in girlfriend attacked him with a knife, and he bought a crack pipe saying it was hers.
Afterwards I determined it was bullshit, because I could tell the wounds were self inflicted. He admitted he lied when I called him out on it, and he was on probation with a stipulation of no alcohol allowed.

He wasn't too happy when he was off to the jail.

Have you ever had to make choice of whom to catch? I.e. two suspects running in different directions and you having to make the call on who was more important to get.

Whoever I think I can catch. Also depends if it was from a car technically a passenger can run away, but the driver is the real suspect

How's your job security? Is the pay good? Would it be an interesting career to go into? You shoot any black people? Have you ever been in a situation where you've feared for your life?

Job security is fine with any government service work

Pay is very well for my area, some agencies in Florida get paid shit. If I were to work overtime and details, I would break $100,000/yr easily. I don't kill myself and probably only rake in an extra 5 to 8 grand a year with OT/Details

It's like any career that you make of it. Truth be told I have more stress at home from my family and friends, than I do from my job.

WHY U ASK ME DIS!!!

Every day dealing with idiot drivers I fear for my life. fear is fear, anyone who says they're not scared, they're just a damn liar. I just not to choose to show that I'm scared most of the time.

What do you carry? In america they always use glocks or sigs, up in Canada cops use the superior Browning Hi Power.

Glock 21 .45 ACP, also have a 12 gauge mossberg pump action shotgun. I also carry my own AR-15 in 5.56
Our department has rifles we issue, or you can carry your own. I choose to carry my own because I can put whatever attachments I want on it.

People get to see the crap we put up with on a daily basis and it shows how cops are 99 percent of the time in the right and people lie.

The only downside is they’re very expensive to buy and maintain. We don’t have them because our community trusts us and just to outfit our entire department would cost over 1 million plus $500,000 a year for storage purposes
