Oh cool, but I just wish Warhammer 40k game developers would start focusing more on the non-combat side of the universe.

We are talking about a series that originated as a table top war game... not exactly like they inspire much else from that. If you are interested in a more non-combative side, check out Dark Heresy and the related games, which are similar to D&D.

it got a sequel i think

they were both good games but i never really enjoyed the concept

I really like the aesthetic of the Imperium ships but I feel like with the way that warp travel works it'd be a real pain in the ass to fit lore and fun combat into a game unless you're like.... defending a hiveworld or something so you can have the ships sent up, but then you have the issue of never being able to get the bigger class ships that can no longer be created

First one was a fun game, really done well. Wasn't too popular though. Glad to see it's getting a sequel.

It was hilarious to see a battleship get rammed by 3 ork cruisers at once because ramming is fortunately their strong-suit.

I mean Gladius: Relics of War is a thing we have that fits that criteria. Unless you mean fully in SPEHSS and not on a planet. Also I feel like this should be in Other Games rather than Acid Goop.
