Space Engineers: Leviathan
So I play a lot of Space Engineers. I've designed a weapon that rends armor like its tissue paper at a distance of over a kilometer, a long ways in a game with a default speed cap of ~100 meters a second. I've built a 28 million kilogram destroyer with that same gun that can fire in under two seconds. That same ship withstood a bombardment from a similarly sized ship using rockets, and barely scratched its hull.
So I decided to build the biggest ship I've ever made. I will post updates.
I'm calling it Leviathan.

You can modify it but that's the absolute limit for items floating around, so my strongest weapon has a projectile speed of 100 m/s.Youbar wrote:Otherwise known as 360km/h.
Still hits hard enough to tear apart over 30 meters of heavy armor.

One of the Gyroscope rooms. It also generates power for redundancy and visual appeal.
Only some rooms will have lighting like this. Most will be lit well, however, important rooms are lit for effect.

How am I supposed to make the death star move? Thrusters burn things.UnknownMurder wrote:Make Star Wars for me. Oh...Yeah.. The Death Star and everything.

dats why you change da settingss, also your using that one reactor mod. Very nice choice of powerplant.

Only scrubs set thrusters to not burn things.Pillow wrote:dats why you change da settingss, also your using that one reactor mod. Very nice choice of powerplant.
Thanks for the compliment on the reactor, I plan on using small reactors throughout the ship to enhance appearance.

I doubt Death Star moves. I think it's just a sitting machine planet.

Re: Space Engineers: Leviathan
It moves between planets. I could probably put a jump drive on it. But you don't get it, without any thrusters, the moment it got bonked it would start to drift, and it would never stop, not even if it jumped.UnknownMurder wrote:I doubt Death Star moves. I think it's just a sitting machine planet.

Re: Space Engineers: Leviathan
I just like to imagine all my thrusters are magic and stuff cause playing with friends who cant drive well = bye bye hanger.
Also the larger reactors and batteries in that mod are wonderful for actually balancing your power needs on a ship

No recent pictures because the regenerative armor hull with integrated kinetic defense system is time consuming to make.

Lockie 'Furry' Hughes, your local source of annoyance, medicine and Will. E. Coyote engineering. Mostly medicine. Maybe annoyance.

Same problem. No thrusters, I can't slow to a stop.

Re: Space Engineers: Leviathan
just use the jump drive and have internal thruster assyemblys for maintaining position
