i dont know where you got "SS14" from that video you linked us, just seemed like a generic preview trying to build hype to me.
people have been claiming they would make a 3D SS13 ever since exadv1 stopped coding, all they would end up doing is make a game that takes itself too seriously and remove all the cool shit which makes SS13 special in the first place, this is unlikely to ever happen and even if it did it will probably suck ass anyways, it'll never amount to anything even close to the gameplay experience we're used to here.

i've never heard of there being a proper source code, the only "Legitimate" attempts i've heard to remake the game (including at least two attempts by exadv1's own dev team) were all intended for 3D, im not suprised to hear these examples are no farther then they were.

Either way, he is sporting himself as "The maker of DayZ" and therefore I have no faith in any title that is "Made" by him. Edit Because I sound kinda dumb salty: Basically, I understand that he left DayZ because he wanted to work on something else. But that just makes me wonder if I'm going to buy yet another game that is never finished. And by never finished I mean still has bugs that were at launch.

An SS13 FPS? My only question is if they kept the role playing aspect, because without that there's no reason to work together if anyone can do anything. And roleplaying is a vital part of SS13, without it SS13 wouldn't be what it is today

If the player wants to self-destruct the station in case of alien invasion or risk of data theft of important information and there is no other option you can always self destruct the station (SELF DESTRUCT SHOULD ONLY BE LAST RESORT)
When a player activates the self destruct, the player has 5 minutes that will be displayed in every corridor to evacuate and if they need to bring stuff with them this is the time to bring it
The player at the start only has 2 options (Fly a shuttle or escapes using an escape pod, each section has their own escape pod for the player to use,
A small shuttle has room for 8 passengers plus large cargo space, an escape pod only has room for 1 person and personal luggage
The starting shuttle at the beginning is damaged so it cannot be used and if the player has not build a shuttle the only option is an escape pod.
Note: If the player self destructs the station EVERYTHING THAT THE PLAYER HAS MADE WILL BE DESTROYED EITHER CONSTRUCTION OF THE STATION OR ITEMS LEFT BEHIND, THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE AND ANY ITEMS BROUGHT WITH THE PLAYER WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE NEXT STATION, THIS DOESN'T MEAN THE END OF THE GAME IT JUST MEANS THE PLAYER IS EVACUATING TO ANOTHER STATION!

I'm still not hyped about this game. What makes it unique? It just sounds like a space minecraft with people you can talk to and people you can shoot. I really don't get what's so unique about it
Personally, when this comes out if ever I don't think I'm gonna spend the money on it. SS13 is free, has many MANY servers to meet everyone's desire, and is more then just buildstation. I mean, yeah you made SS13 3D or made it have higher textures, but again it just sounds like an SS13 themed space engineers with less things to build
Until I see actual footage from the game that shows all the features I am seriously doubting it, since we got a free SS13 right here which has many more features then what you say this game will have
