AGP: Epica

Post by Allan1234 » 10 Sep 2015, 23:30

So i want to talk to you about a pretty epic game i found called AGP: Epica.

http://www.agpstudios.org/

This game is set to be a open world RPG with everything you have ever wanted:

Mechs.
Cars.
Tanks.
Spaceships.
drones.
aircraft.

The game will have a in depth skill system and equipment system much like morrowind had, this alongside the large amount of vehicles and gear he wants to add in will make for a long and epic game. The game will be open world with mutiple planets and locations in space that will allow for a large world of questing and player... and best of all? IT'S COOP! yes that is right. the game is being built FOR cooperative play alongside your friends. The website will explain everything else

So far the game has shown alot of potential and is being devolved by a really fucking cool developer (trey) who has shown an immense amount of willingness to work with his fans (me included).

The game is coming out next year and is going to be free. the alpha is coming out this year and will be on steam, just not free.

as a backer myself i implore you to all to take alook at this great game and considering backing him on his patron https://www.patreon.com/AGP_Epica?ty=c

He won't finish it. The only reason he switched crowdfunding sites was because this new one doesn't require a set balance to be reached for him to get the money. Pay me money every month for a game I have no responsibility to even finish. Seen it with plenty of other games.

Agreed. It just seems too good to be true. It has been attempted before, I may add; look how Universal Combat ended up, this is even bigger in scope.
When the voice from the shadows calls you
When the wind whips past your ears
Will you stand when the weight is upon you
Or will you go to your knees in fear?

Do not say things you have no fucking idea about. i dislike it alot when people generalize every single game and person based on other things.

Whoa chill mate, he was just stating his opinion. I mean we all know Kurugi is not known for sugar coating things very well, but if you put something up some people are going to state negativity about it. That is going to be with anything, I am sure there is someone who is upset about CM and the way it is run, but that is probably why you don't see them playing it then. Personally it doesn't look like my cup of tea either, but that doesn't mean that just because Kurugi and I said it wouldn't be our thing that people will care about our opinion, they may still fund it.

Hey there, dev here. I switched crowdfunding models as the Kickstarter model wasn't going to work. I have stated that I'm going to do a huge thing and most people don't have the willpower or follow through to do it; I, however, do. Right now I'm trying to raise enough money to provide monthly assets and basic living costs as this is the one thing I'm really passionate about doing on a day to day basis, as well as playing other games. Thus far I have funded the rest of the development on my own and am continuing to plug away at it, but I do need help going forward. I'm a few weeks away from deploying the 0.8 Alpha [Cybermage Skill Tree {hacking minigames and quest branches}, expanded level development, HUD Editor, additional dialogue, bug fixes) game will be available on Steam Early Release at alpha 1.0). The core game is already playable using a development model with content being released every month (new mission, skills, weapons, vehicles, planets, etc) instead of delivering one final product and then trying to charge for DLC, as such a Patreon is more appropriate than a Kickstarter.

If you folks have any questions I'd be happy to field them.

I think the idea that he took the time to respond to you on a forum that he doesn't even frequent would say alot about the game and him.
