Recently, Lady Gaga has released a new single with both a good meaning and a charity behind it. Every year, there are hundreds of both reported and un-reported cases of rape against college girls. I as an individual would like to share this video and the lyrics to the song with the CM community in another one of my attempts to spread awareness.

Thank you for sharing this and trying to spread awareness Vrai, I wouldn't have found this song or the meaningful lyrics without this post. The video really shows the hideousness and brutal honesty of these sorts of incidents, I'm glad Lady Gaga made this, even if she isn't one of my preferred artists. The ending is beautiful, the world needs to be informed. Thank you again, it's nice to see something that isn't jokes or something of that sort in the forums.

I've listened to this song continously on loop and let me say this. I don't listen to much of Lady Gaga. She's a great artist, I'll admit that but I've never been fond of her. But this song she's sang is amazing. A lot of people don't realize how easy it is to be raped and how terrible you feel about yourself afterwards. You can go off and say or think that, "You put yourself in that position" or "Maybe you shouldn't be with them in the first place". But in all reality. It's the not the victims fault. Rape is something that is beyond morals. The moment you comit rape, you're no longer a human being, you're just a husk, a shell of someone who could have been better. The psychological pain that gets inflicted on a rape victim is beyond what most people can imagine, especially if they end up getting pregnant. Because then they have to deal with either aborting the child because it will remind them of that horror or keep it because it's their baby and it doesn't matter who the father is. Being raped is not something you ever want to wish on another person. The emotional pain that comes with it can almost kill someone.

I have my own reasons for knowing this, but as Human beings, we have the ability to put ourselves in another person's shoes. It's why we have feelings and base morals that we were born with. The only way a person to truly grow into someone better, is by helping out and loving everyone you meet. Yes, I hate some people, and I've done things I'm not proud of as a person and I'm living with the consequences of it. We all have our mistakes and things we have to live with, but when someone is in need of help. You hold out your hand and give it to them. All it takes is a simple gesture to make someone feel better and not worthless. The awareness of how sickening rape is and how it needs to be stopped has to be spread. Thank you Vrai for sharing this. A lot of people in this world needs to open their eyes and see how far the Human Race has fallen since it's creation.
