You read the question wrong. It's -(-9) not -(9)
The answer is -3.
I actually started reading the question wrong myself I thought it said [(X^x)(-9)]-(-9)=36 Now THAT would have equaled something completely different. Why don't we try bringing our brilliant math brainsies to figure this out.

First thought, I wanted to use logs, but I don't know if that would work. Try graphing that bad boy hahaha...

I think at least one person will be surprised that 7((3^2)-5)-7+3=24.

I'm interested to know what steps you could have possibly taken to get 4 as the result, haven't figured that out yet (Mostly from lack of trying :P)
