Lets Play A Game: Warewolf

Hello everyone its me again!


Here in Germany one game we LOVE to play (especially with large groups) is a game roughly translated to "Warewolf" I have been informed that it is called "Mafia" by many people in the United States and some parts of England, but for these purposes we will call it "Warewolf". Normally this game is played over the course of 1 or more hours in real life by sitting in a circle, but I really think that we can manage it online! I think with PM messages it will work perfectly! (Our other option is whatsapp, but I am not sure all of you would be willing to share your phone numbers to do this). Let me explain how this works and how we can make it work online:

Starting Friday of this week (The 9th) we will begin our game. Until then you may post on this forum that you wish to join simply by saying "+1".

The game is set in a small rural village in which all of the players act as villagers! The issue is that not everyone here is really who they say they are!


ROLES:

Villagers: Your plain old person in the game. Not too very exciting.
Warewolfs: You act like a villager but at night you get to kill a person in the town. (You are aware of the other warewolfs)
Witches: You have two potions! One will heal a player that has been killed at night and the other will kill a player during the night! Only two though so choose carefully.
Fortune Teller: Each night you can choose one person and the moderator (myself) will reveal to you what their true game role is!
Priest: (Number of times this works will be based on amount of players) You choose two people to secretly fall in love Romeo and Juliet style. If one dies then the other dies too.
Warrior: This player is able to fend off one (ONE) attack from a warewolf at night! (meaning he has two lives when it comes to warewolfs) If he is attacked he learns the identity of the player who attacked him!
Whore: This player may choose the home of another player to sleep in each night. This means that if a warewolf attacks her home and she is with another player she does not die. If a warewolf attacks the home of a player she is sleeping with though she does die.


RULES:

1) YOU MAY NEVER EVER TELL ANYONE ELSE WHAT ROLE YOU HAVE IN THE VILLAGE!
1.1: An example) The fortune teller may never say "I know Quakes72 is a warewolf because I am the fortune teller!"


GAME PLAY:

1) The game begins during the night while everyone in the village is sleeping.
1.1) The fortune teller asks the moderator (myself) about the identity of one player, the whore chooses a house to sleep in, the warewolfs each choose one person to attack, the witches choose if they want to use a potion to heal a killed person or kill a player, and the priest chooses the first couple to fall in love.
2) The game moves to the day and the moderator (myself) reveals who has been killed during the night.
3) Members of the town may accuse other players as being a warewolf or a witch.
4) The town members vote and choose one player to be executed that day (witch trial shit right here).
5) The town goes back to sleep and the process of night begins again.


I think that this game would be tons of fun for everyone who wants to join in and would be a nice way of getting to know each other just a little bit more. EDIT: To clarify this game is text based and entirely simulated. It will be played at a relaxed pace here or where ever we choose to play over a series of real life days.

Hahe. I played this version of Mafia on Table Top Simulator once. And just like normal mafia, freaking loved it.
Not certain If I want to ask to join though. Well see.
