Scenario: Alien Apocalypse

I was going to say, what would you do to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, but that would be too common. So, fuck it. Alien Apocalypse from Alien Franchise.

The year is still 2015 as of to this date. All technology are still to this date. EVERYTHING TODAY! It's not Colonial Marines age. It's not the age of BS12. It's not the Space Age yet. You're still in the present year.

You receive information from a mass media (I don't care which), something about aliens on the loose. The next day, you look outside, the road is lonely. Two military tanks drives up to the front down the road and police cars with SWAT Team following the tank on siren alert. Explosion occurs not too far away from you. You hear gun fires, and it starts to die off with a small screaming noises. You see citizens trying to run away on the road in opposite direction of the military & law vehicles. You spot a black alien (Hunter) grabbing a citizen, carrying up to the sky by it's torso. Black alien impales the citizen, hissing.

Now, you must survive. I am not your Game Maker like the Hunger Games. This is just something a choice you would PROBABLY make. A Decisive Choice, I must say. I am not going to update your decisions. You can just say "I'll hide in basement and continue playing Metal Gear Solid or Fallout 4 til the day I die."

What do you do?

My "rural" friend owns a place somewhere upstate with crossbows, makeshift weapons and a bomb shelter. I'd probably group up with him and try to take on the zambookzies. That or i'd totally puss out and play MGSV.

First thing I would do is try to drive outside of the quarantine zone, and get far enough away that if they firebomb or nuke the area I'm not gonna die.

After that, hope the military solves the problem, but still move to a different part of the US.

Aliens can see living entities though walls so the best thing is to get the fuck out of there sight as fast as possible, though there aint gonna be just one so go in the exact opposite since there might be hundreds all in that direction. Most likely there busy doing shit with other civilians so you would have some time. Hiding aint gonna cut it find a car (unless you have one) and just move far away but if one spots you the best thing to do is just run like a baby cause your dead anyway.

Well, most guns are too low-calibre to actually pierce a xenomorph exoskeleton, sure, you could get yourself a revolver or something, but think about it, crossbows were made to pierce plate armour in the medieval ages,

It's probably not gonna be easy to get your hands on a real crossbow, but you COULD find out online how to make a makeshift crossbow and bolts, but you're gonna need a lot of bolts, because the acid blood would dissolve them,

Also, cars make a lot of noise, you're guaranteed to have a horde of runners on you if you use one. then again, you're screwed if you go anywhere near the infestation zone. take a backpack with non-perishable food and water, and make the long trek VERY far away from the city/area the hive is in. Don't try to save anyone from/in the city, because they're probably infected for all you know, or a xenomorph could be hot on their trail.

We are a regular person, albeit with a makeshift crossbow and rations in a backpack, we're not a badass who can waltz into a xenomorph hive and kill EVERYTHING.

Now, let's talk anti-facehugger. what to do? If you work in a garage, or anywhere that gives you access to a welding mask, use it.
I have no idea what else could be used.

walk the hell away from town, shoot a xenomorph in the leg if possible, if a xenomorph catches up to you, you are DEAD. get it? dead. they are living weapons, disable them before they brutally murder you.

if you are facehugged, follow none of the steps above. you do NOT spread the infection. suicide is the only option.

You live in America? Guns are everywhere, screw crossbows. Fuckin' i can go down the street right now and pick up an UZI. Also they can go right through masks, just like in the movie they'll melt right through it till they get to you

Also, in the lore the upper body of the xenomorph has a thick exoskeleton, and the lower body has none to offer more mobility, I think the calibre needed for piercing xenomorph exoskeletons is in the lore somewhere, I haven't checked.

I mean, in one of the movies they covered a runner in molten lead then made it die from thermal shock by turning on the sprinklers, but I think that's DEFINITELY more lethal than an assault rifle.
