Cause if it's to soft a stronger blade will just cut yours like paper

Heated to non-magnetic temperatures and quenched in water, twice. Not like it matters, it's /rebar/. It's going to be horrible.

You should make a Disc shape like a pancake and use a Miter saw or something and cut It into the shape of the pred Discs and sharpen them.... Wullalaa Pancake pred Disc

Where did you get the rebar? Most of the metal I get has literally been lying at the side of the road, not large enough to create anything moderately useful, but they're very flexible, for good joints.
