Aliens not in crit go KO
Bug Description:
I have replicated this bug over 20 times and basically, xenos at a certain treshold will go unconscious without being crit.
They still have visual indicators showing they either have minimum conscious health or higher.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Be any given xenomorph.
2. Take enough damage to fall unconscious without having the critical indicator.
3. Be literally unconscious, unable of speech or reaction while also being stuck in this 'stance' for a while.

CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Re: Aliens not in crit go KO
By the way, I tested it with every single castes, including queen and whatnot. This is specific to the lifeform and not a certain caste.
It's really annoying, and it happens I'm unconscious for barrely a second and stands up trying to go away because I was randomly KO'd by rifle bullets.

What this is is you go crit, but heal on the same tick. Appearing to be healthy but you /were/ crit.
Thats my guess anyway, Thats what I decided when i experienced this.

It's not that, otherwise it wouldn't put you unconscious for a whole minute at times.

Can't reproduce on a runner, the xeno gets unconscious at exactly the unconscious damage threshold.

Well, I think the problem here is that the health bar has trouble catching up with your actual health if you take a lot of damage in a short time

The Xeno plasma/HP bars were always kinda iffy.Casany wrote:Well, I think the problem here is that the health bar has trouble catching up with your actual health if you take a lot of damage in a short time

It's one of the bugs that pester me the most, because it seems to happen for certain people mostly (Like me) and at certain occasions. It may be greatly affected by the environment and external variables, but it's still a really annoying bug.

The Xeno health bar basically takes time to update, so if you got shot by a pistol that would crit you, instead of it being instant, it takes a second or two to register, just like when you can move 5 more tiles as a marines after being shot by a SADAR and then drop dead.

Re: Aliens not in crit go KO
So as to provide more information, since I somehow don't understand how this happen. I actually got critted quarter-life as crusher 2 days ago (How, I don't know) and it almost costed me the round. Not sure if it was UI's fault, but at quarter-life it becomes quite ridiculous considering the health pool a crusher has.
I'll be re-installing Byond and trying to see if any minor things like that can fix it (Cache etc), but that's clearly abnormal.
If it's only an UI bug, then great (I guess), but overall it'd be cool if we could see our percent player-side on the health pool somehow for xenos if anything. Although I'd know many a reason not to disclose that even in percent.
