Armour light, Lighting problem.
Bug Description:
-Activate a flare in hand while your armour light is on.
-Throw away the flare and then realise your armour light is visually on but not producing any light.
-Re-toggle your armour light and it'll be fine.
Probably something to do with light sources and that. Just to note it happened on big red.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Activate flare and throw it away while your armour light is on.
2. Watch in horror as the area around you turns pitch black due to the armour light not producing any light.
3. Quickly re-toggle your armour light as a quick fix.

Re: Flares and armour lights.
Did it happen every time you threw a lit flare, or was that time special for some reason?

Re: Flares and armour lights.
I have encountered the same bug, it occurred when picking up a flashlight. My armor light required to be turned off and on again in order for it to work.

It happens whenever you light up a flare in hand, probably also happens with every other lightsource.phil235 wrote:Did it happen every time you threw a lit flare, or was that time special for some reason?
For example:
Turn on flare in hand with armour light already on.
Your light source will switch to the flares so when you throw it your armour light visually looks like it's producing light but isn't.

Re: Flares and armour lights.
I'm assuming the reason this happens is to prevent the system from reading the combination of lights as a reason to increase the radius, so there's a protocol in place that shuts off one of the lights and leaves the other source intact.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Really odd, just tried re-creating the bug like before and it works fine now.

Happened to me as well. Light was seemingly fine for a while and then I got PUSHED. Yes PUSHED, by a runner all the way into the hive from LZ1 and to add to that salt, my light is turned off so I can't bloody see when a carrier opens the door to tackle me..

Re: Armour light, Lighting problem.
I think this bug happens from time to time, I had multiple problem like this when I was in Old LV-624 where the light from the armour wouldn't even come out even when toggled on and off .
Recreating this bug though, is tricky.

On the ayylmaor(with the hallways lit up of course), Try toggling the light on the armor on, run for a bit, remove it, run for a bit, and put it back on. Then go to a dark corner to ball up and crei, because xenos are too OP see that the light doesn't work.

Re: Armour light, Lighting problem.
Had a problem like this with a rail flashlight and flashlight. I dropped the flashlight and had to toggle the rail flight light off and on again for it to make light. Or maybe it was because I put the gun the rail light was on into a shoulder holster or suit slot.

Re: Armour light, Lighting problem.
Activating any light source or picking up one on Ice Colony deactivates your suit light until you retoggle it currently.
Troublesome, as usual.
