Bug Description: So far, I've seen it happening twice or thrice. Every time the self-destruct is armed, whether through player input or forced by an admin, if the ship blows up, you merely hear the sound of the explosion, but other than that, nothing happens. People still walk happily around, as if nothing ever happened or bothered them. No idea if that is intended, but mayhaps have the ship really go boom or have a screen video (standart type of way) show how the Almayer goes fireworks?
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have something really bad warrant a SD event.
2. Have SD armed by staff OR player input.
3. Have SD happen, see that nothing really happens (?).

Known, saddly.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Is there a reason they don't use the nuked station cinematic from Nuke ops or AI malfunction? Would seem like a simple, but effective substitute.

There is an explosion in the SD room. Having the entire ship blow up would lag too much.

They could just use the ending scene of Alien when it shows the Nostromo being blown up.

If it's the round end anyway where not much happens other than the Almayer being destroyed, I think a few seconds of lag wouldn't hurt anybody, would it?tuzz wrote:There is an explosion in the SD room. Having the entire ship blow up would lag too much.

Isn't there some admin verb that was like a Nuke and it killed everyone and put them in deadchat? I think I saw it back on Sulaco.
