Any bugs/balancing issues related to Ice Colony map goes here.
Please read all of the posts before posting them to prevent duplicates.
Things you should know:
- You need to use the snow variant of armor to survive. This includes snow helmet, snow suit armor, gloves, boots and rebreather. Donor gear, leader, sniper and specialist armor also protects against the cold as do Medic and technician helmets.
- Rebreather and donor masks protects your lungs from extreme cold, goes to mask slot. You are dead without it.
- Telecomms relay tower needs to be powered before it works. It is located on the east map section
- Snow shovel can switch modes if you click on it. Can be used to construct barriers and to clear out snow
- Xenos can clear out snow pretty fast by clicking on it with grab intent.
- Weeds can only grow on snow layer 0 (lowest snow depth)
Things not to report:
- Survivors having no access to their facility. Will be fixed soonish
- Regular armor ordered from RO instead of snow variants
- Snow turf overlays behaving strange when in darkness. I have to completely rewrite the code on how it handles it.
- Double doors not opening when bumping them at specific locations. Click on it to open it.
Things to fix:
- Queen locator pointing to wrong direction
- Ice colony map instead of LV map
- Crowbaring ice temp floor deletes it
- Multi podlock doors do not update correctly when crowbared

Does the snow affect xenos, or are they only motivated to clear it out for weeds?

Snow affects both marines and aliens (And cargo tugs!).
Marines can either clear it out to move faster on it, put more snow it to make stronger snow barriers, or just put snow there to slow down aliens.
Aliens need to clear out snow (it is very fast) for weeds to grow, and for speed buff. Currently, snow slow down on humans is much larger than on aliens.

Survivors spawn without snow boots or gloves. This kills the survivors.

Cold damage applies to whole body, not exposed location.

Not entirely a bug. But LZ location lets the Gauss Cannons VERY easily accidentally kill Survivors.

Also told to put this here. New map only contains 2 guns for survivors. Old map had ~8, please spawn a few more.

Some doors, such as in the living area (not the dorms, I forget what it's called) are not hackable.

the colony could use a lot more fire axe spawns for survivor defense and stuff, maybe some footwear and gloves that resist the cold they could spawn with too

It appears that orbital supply beacons don't work above ground. I tested it while standing on completely clear snow and it still failed to activate. I didn't have the chance to test it with an OB beacon.

Since the whole colony is on the same Z level, the queen indicator can show the queen as being further south than the furthest south point on the map, when in fact she is in another zone.

I couldn't do anything with the icepicks to the thin ice or regular ice. Not sure if intended.
Edit: The two halves of the basket ball court are different sizes. One is 6 tiles, the other 5.
