Bug Description:
Ap rockets cant hit pouncing hunters. Unsure if other rocket types also dont work or if this bug extends to other pouncing aliens

Steps to reproduce:
1.Fire ap rocket at hunter
2.Have it pounce at the rocket
3.Rocket flys by hunter.

Maybe it's jumping over the rocket?

How is this a bug? It's a rocket. It's not meant to be hitting small, fast-moving targets.

Becuase the miss mechanic doesnt happen. It just never impacts.

Then it's not actually hitting the target. When a xeno pounces it throws them, it doesn't teleport them, and you can still hit things in mid-throw. If you are pounced straight-on and fire a rocket it should still hit them, diagonals are harder to estimate the lead.

Ninja edit: That being said, it might be moving too fast over the turfs for the projectile to register as a mob being there, in which case the only solution is to slow down the pounce effect.

Some more info on this, it seems buckshot misses pouncing aliens too, so this is more of a hit detection bug in general. Not sure if pulse rifles do as well, further testing required.

You sure it misses? Last time i tried i hit a hunter mid pounce, didnt stop it from pouncing me, but it was hit, as far as i remember atleast

It seems to only happen in certain situations. I've hit Runners mid-pounce before, but I've also had it miss several times lately. It mainly seems to happen near pointblank, so it may just be a graphical issue in which it appears they were hit, but were not in the line of fire. I'll see if I can't figure out which.

I've hit ayylmaos mid-pounce before, with m41as, smartguns and buckshot.

Unrelated but, I saw a Young Hunter DEFLECT an AP rocket the other day. Wewlad.

This happened to me too. I for one do not like Neo Xenos.
