Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predators background):

Mad Fire was always a curious youngblood. He would fiddle around with things, try to create weapons, and elaborate traps as a youth. He was always rather secluded and kept to himself, always planning some sort of contraption in his mind. As he grew older his motives changed. His interest sparked in the serpents, seeing the blooded Yautja come back with their serpent trophies. Whenever his Right of Passage came around, for him to kill his first serpent and become blooded. He was prepared, he had been planning what he could do to slay his foe. A plan which he brewed for weeks. He would stalk the serpent and try to lure it into a position favorable to his style of combat, using corners, dead ends, anything where he could stage a sort of ambush and terrify his opponent.
As he landed to hunt for his kill, a rush of adrenaline (or the yautja equivalent) hit him in a massive wave. This was the time to finally be able to prove himself to his kin. That he was worthy of his family’s bloodline. L’ulij-bpe R’ka was slow at first, adapting to his environment, learning the patterns of this unknown land. Noticing the patterns of the other creatures and how they acted whenever a threatening creature was nearby. Once he spotted his prey, he followed him for hours and hours on end. Instilling a sense of curiosity in the creature and luring him to a zone, favorable for, a place L’ulij-bpe R’ka could set off his contraption. Mad Fire drew his sword, and lept for the beast. Out of the pan and into the fire. A new feeling took hold of him, one of fear, and excitement. The pleasure of the hunt took control. He took a swipe for the beast and he nicked it’s leg, acidic blood flowed from the wound, eating away at the blade. If R’ka wasn’t swift, he wouldn’t have a blade left to fight with. He dove away from the serpent, where it charged for him. When it leapt, he dove, slicing it’s underbelly, killing the serpent and scorching the back of R’ka. Although burned, he felt little pain as adrenaline and satisfaction took hold. He was a blooded member of his tribe.

How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?

I would like to play him as a trapper of sorts. Always using a watchful eye counting how many threats would be nearby, examining the level of competence and strength of the target he is stalking. While still attempting to terrify the target until they attempt to run away, or bravely attempt to stand and fight. And when I say trap I mean like lay a trap, attempt for the creature to step on it. If they did by chance, I would come up to my trapped foe and terrify them. If it were a marine I would grab him, and toss him to his marine pals. Him being marked as prey.

Why should we whitelist you?

I would follow the Honor Code and favor hunting the side that was stronger, only attacking xenomorphs that from watching them, I could tell how competent they were. I would be accepting of some sort of fire from the marines, after all this is all new to them that there is a humanoid creature that is quite a bit larger and seems rather angry.

Correct me if I'm wrong but another person also used a katana in his pred app and it was denied because predators don't use katanas.

Its a clan sword, I just liked using the word Katana, they have clan swords, I switched it over for clarification

I'm glad you changed the katana to sword, because that would have been enough for me to downvote this. The background is pretty good though, and gives a decent oversight of the character. I like how you tied it together with the way you plan to play the character, too, which is cool to see. The playstyle itself is different enough to be interesting. I don't really have any negative comments about your app, and you have been with CM for a while, so I'm going with a neutral, but leaning on +1 pending more feedback.

Good story, good player, but I can see some problems in the way you'll play. I doubt that attempting to trap a single prey to terrify them would work. If a marine was in a group, and you trapped one, they would all go ballistic.

Besides that one thing, you really are a good player, and I hope to see you as a pred.

The backstory, is alright for the most part, didn't see any grammatical errors, or anything that caught my attention. It's not an amazing backstory, it's pretty good, I mean, it's a little short but that's fine. The originality of it, is what bothers me, I've seen many Predators do what your character does, being bold and playing smart is like ehh, it ain't NEW and FRESH, but it certainly is different to an extent, but you as a player and character I do like, I enjoyed with you when you were a marine, I haven't seen you on lately though. I'm not a fan of just luring idiot marines into your domain, it's cool but it's kinda been done before, but I won't talk shit because it's better then having a Predator run up and die.

I've seen you around and I have no problem with your role playing ability or behavior. Like skyshadow says, your pred isn't VERY unique and the backstory was simple although satisfactory. However I really do not think that a pred needs a "special snowflake" backstory or playstyle to be a good pred. Your suggested playstyle is straightforward : stalk a target, isolate it, trap and kill. Many players get very salty after being killed by a pred, but your playstyle will offer them a few fair chances to evade you.

About the trapping thing, as Predator, traps are very limited and too expensive to waste it in some hunt foreplay, they're used to trick your prey during combat or to protect the Lodge, aside from that, a standard predator is what I see and I expect him to be good, I'll throw a +1

I like this guy I have played many a round with his character, I also like his predators play style being it different from the usual charge into the 5 marines with weapons drawn predators I deal with.

You've been long enough and active enough on the forum, and others said you seem to handle yourself well as a marine. Can't vouch for that personally, since I don't know you at all.

I'm concerned with how well your predator will respond to the type of players you'll encounter on a hunt, and your grasp of the lore could be better. Overall I felt the story and the app by extent were lacking a bit where they really needed to count.

Neutral for now.

Throwing in an observation, last round he earned the right to be accepted on the ship as a Hunter, he proved that he can be robust AND rp at the level we expect from Whitelisted players, if I were able to vote twice I would, and It would be another +1, I really like him.

You're name is vaguely familiar to me, but your story is excellent in my opinion. And your suggested playstyle has the potential to elicit a good amount of rp, from any side that steps on one of your finely planned traps.
