The Kjuhte clan holds a position of prodigal honor within the ranks of the Yautja as scholars of the gods. Their traditions stand out as being highly focused on the philosophy of the Hunt, believing that honoring both Paya and Cetanu comes before their own honor. Thus they hunt for trophies to honor their gods rather than the status it gains them in society. Those who bring the most worthy trophies are sure to have the gaze of their gods set upon them. A unique facet of this clan is that the pups are not given a name until after they have been bloodied. This leads pups to simply be called Kjuhte, or Kju until their name is revealed to them. After one's first kill it is tradition to perform the Kjuhte Ju'dha ritual. During the resulting hallucinations they discover their name. Upon returning from this hunt their recordings are reviewed and the clan elders scribe their names upon the clan's roster, they have earned their right to be of Kjuhte, those who fail their hunts are outcast.

T'korin was born into the Kjuhte clan in 1915 (Earth Year), within only a few years of their birth their father left for what would be their final hunt. In the absence of his father, T'korin would be raised by his grandfather Si'pil, an Elder within the clan. T'korin's method of training was in line with the old ways of the Kjuhte clan, consisting of heavy meditation in the mornings, manual labor duties around the clan grounds and finally combat into nightfall. As he aged and became more ready for The Hunt he was introduced to the Kjuhte Ju'dha ritual.

(Kjuhte Ju'dha) A ritual where in which a chalice filled with a powerful hallucinogenic is placed upon a shrine upon the Yautja's ship during their hunt. This shrine is to both gods, Paya and Cetanu. it rests here until the Yautja makes their first kill. Upon finishing off their first kill and collecting their trophy the now blooded Yautja will return to their ship. They mount their trophy over the shrine and drink of the chalice before beginning meditation. The resulting visions and experiences would lead them to discovering their name, it is said that one's name is chosen depending on which of the two gods took interest in their trophy.

The rumble of engines slowly died out, soon being overwhelmed by the chorus of insects and animals within the lush jungle around the ancient temple. The door of the ship opens and three young Yautja are revealed to be kneeling, heads bowed. "Today we bring proof to Paya and Cetanu of our worth, today we earn our names." "The ancestors smile upon us, this is a good night to hunt." "Our thanks to the ancestors for giving us this hunt." The three figures stood and left their ship, the hatch shutting securely behind them.

The three Yautja let their gaze fall over the ancient temple, in awe of its design and importance to their clan. The air around the temple was wrapped with the scent of the stones used in its construction. The heavy stone door rumbled the very earth beneath their feet as it opened, dust spraying into the air. The three hunters entered silently, the door slamming shut behind them. The paced forward into a chamber splitting into three different directions, each of them choosing their own path. The halls were filled with the sounds of massive stones shifting and moving, occasionally hissing and the sound of claws scraping against rock would echo throughout the temple.

T'korin's heart began to beat quickly, the sounds, scents, and visuals all rippling through his mind. This practice defined the Yautja, and for the first time in his life, he could truly experience why that was. The HUD on his bio-mask flickered briefly, scanning through the different vision modes before settling on Electro-Magnetic. He halted his advance, catching a glimpse of a serpent crawling almost silently across the corridor in front of him, disappearing into a T-section hallway. "Serpant..." T'korin immediately observed his surroundings, he had been so caught in his awe of the temple he was within that he'd nearly forgotten the very real threat that lies within. "Will you be worthy?" T'korin rumbled, increasing their pace down the corridor.

The bio-mask lights up, another hunter has claimed their trophy. The walls of the temple rumble at the following triumphant roar. T'korin's mandibles click together as he increases his pace yet again, the adrenaline flowing through him pushing out all thoughts but one, hunt. The bio-mask flickers again, showing the heartbeat of one of the other Yautja, it increases dramatically before another tremendous roar ripples through the temple walls.

The end of yet another corridor comes into view and T'korin's pace slows, the room ahead was open, a central pillar holding up the ceiling with buttresses branching out to the walls around. He leaps up to one of them, his bio-mask cycling its vision, on the ground below a patch of liquid shined brightly, blood of a Yautja. T'korin's wrist blades extend, his mask scanning the walls around him. A serpent was near, he could feel it like a chill running down his back. He cycled back to EM and looked toward the other corridors, the feeling grew stronger. His heart sped up, more and more adrenaline pumping through his core. Something was watching him, he could feel its gaze boring into him. His head on a swivel, he could see nothing on the walls, nothing in the corridors, his breathing grew heavier when he felt the smallest of unusual things, a droplet of liquid running down his cheek.

He throws his head up in time for his bio-mask to bounce a blow from the serpent's tail, sparks flying from the groove it sliced into the metal. The beast lunged for him, bringing both tumbling down onto the sand and stone floor beneath them. The serpent hissed and slashed at him with its claws. T'korin's body acted on instinct, his blades sliced into the creature's abdomen, a virulent spray of acid coated his chest-piece, spots on his stomach and arm seared by the compound. He rears his knees up and kicks the serpent off of himself, sending it flying into the central pillar with an audible crack. The creature seizes up and falls limp, lying on the floor. T'korin approached cautiously, stepping on the creature's tail, Si'pil had told him of the serpents cunning ways. He slashes a blade through the tail, the creature was truly dead. He kneels before the beast, his fingers running over its carapace and then his mask. "...Worthy." He draws his dagger and slices into the creature's neck, lifting its skull with his free hand. His mandibles clatter together rapidly, euphoria washes over him. He raises the serpents head high above his head, the walls echoing with his victory roar.

The temple walls slowly stop moving, a path becomes clear to the exit. T'korin walks down the hallway, the heavy stone doors open revealing the jungle around him. He drank deep of the air, his brothers stand before the ship, trophies held proudly under their arms. The three gazed at each other as the temple door shut, they would all return triumphant.

How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator)?

I'll play my pred as a deeply religious soul, before any battle they meditate and thank the gods and ancestors for the chance to experience their next hunt. I'll likely make a shrine to Paya and Cetanu aboard the ship, and travel to the surface to observe the fighting below. My predator will do very little talking to humans, unless absolutely necessary. I want to put gestures at the forefront of my communication with humans save for maybe a few short words.

I don't plan on being a common sight for either side, I fully expect that there will be games when I have only a few targets to hunt. The Kjuhte clan has a saying that those who bring the most worthy trophies have the greatest chance of the gods gaze setting on them. I will attempt to interact only with very small groups of marines, or lone stragglers. This doesn't mean straight murder, as killing when it isn't for the hunt or needed brings great dishonor with it. The morals of the Kjuhte would also mean that a marine would have to show me they are worth being a trophy before ever attacking them.

All in all, it's a complicated question. I love the opportunity to roleplay more than I like the opportunity to kill. I have my pred's clan set up in a way where you only hunt the most worthy, and that knocks out quite a few marines.

As for interactions with serpents, they are prey and nothing more, one doesn't roleplay or trust a serpent as they by their very nature are meant to spread their genes without falter. In seldom few occurrences I could see myself rp'ing with an exceptionally unique alien that doesn't just try to tackle spam or run in to slash and then sprint away.

Why should we whitelist you?

This... is a good question. I have notes, but I've taken great strives to avoid doing what's earned me them in the past. I try to make roleplay fun for all involved and will purposely roleplay to add to someone's round. For example I had a researcher once when playing CMO that imprisoned an MT because they went from perma dead to very much alive. This turned into a unique situation where in character I made the claim of similar unusual things being reported upon other ships. Scanned the marine and set them free. The researcher was pissed off at first, but funnily enough as the round continued and the aliens attacked, the same researcher and I met in the self destruct chamber, where this very moment changed how our characters thought the end of their lives would be or mean.

I used to take everything I did very seriously on this game, and that lead to me gaining my second note. I believed that since I was in the unique position of being able to revive and heal the party involved that my actions were justified, when they weren't in the slightest. This lead to me not going medic or even doctor for almost two months, because I needed to think on why I fucked up the way I did.

I genuinely believe I can add to the round, as well as add to people's knowledge of the Yautja and give them intrigue into the unique and interesting species. My goal is to make people enjoy the engagements they can have with one, even if it means them getting viciously slaughtered. I understand that salt will happen, that I will be meme'd, that I could even ruin someone's round as this role, but I'm going to be damn sure to take as many steps to avoid it as possible.

So... that's why, I guess.

No, I have never been banned from CM, but I do have notes. I believe in full disclosure and they are posted below. I do think that my second note should have earned me a three hour ban, but the person looking over the situation let me off with a strong warning instead.

I enjoyed reading this application and I'm glad you finally made a predator application. A deeply religious predator would be interesting to see on the hunt. I don't see anything wrong worth really noting and Kincaid is an awesome player, it's a +1 from me.

I have no idea whom you are, sorry. But I believe my fellow nerds at HQ of Preds that you're a capable guy. Also don't beat yourself up over two notes. I have probably like 6-7? IDK, so eh.
Anyway, I read your backstory. It's pretty good, well written and flows well, no grammar errors from what I saw so props to ya. One thing that caught my attention is how quickly the serpent actually dies. One jab from a blade is bad, but these things are in fact really pain tolerant, while they express it. They're more than willing to endure it if it means survival. Though I won't hold you for that, but your armor is touched by the serpent's acid. I need not remind that unblooded preds do not get any acid proof gear. Possibly the wrist blades, but the armor? If I remember correctly that stuff melts just like a marine's armor. So I gotta say something bout that.

I like your playstyle, it's nice but sometimes you won't be able to actually execute it. Though try to as much as possible, I think your character can fit well. I think you might get along quite well with my considering they're also quite religious.

One thing I don't like about your backstory is the lack of personality you give for YOUR pred. Like what makes you different from your clan? Not just other preds, it's just something I'd prefer that was existent than not.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure these are quite minor flaws though I wish you were more active on forums and discord. You'll get told to review apps from time to time. So stay involved or you won't be allowed to be involved.

I understand, I haven't been as active lately as I would like to be and most times I'm on it's very late in the day and CST. I'll worry less about the notes, I just take punishments seriously.

If I'm entirely honest the major issue I came with during this was executing the fight scene. I was already concerned with the length of the app and had real worries it would just become so long people didn't want to read it for that reason alone. I could have drawn out the fight more, and was tempted to, but against my better judgement I held off. My intentions was to simply tell a brief story of their blooding with vague details and it turned into a mixture of a medium length story of more build up than action and I kind of regret that. As for the armor being acid proof, I actually just plain forgot to write it in. I was so focused on other details of the app it completely slipped my mind to add damage to their armor from the acid blood. (Though I believe the masks are almost always made acid proof.)

The xeno dying so quickly is something I put in after reading some other apps, with Yautja's first kills tending to be easier than they expected unless it's just an outrageous xeno caste or something like a Gro'tye (heaven forbid someone uses slaying one of these fuckers in their blooding app.) I tried to put emphasis on the excitement of the hunt, the focus on the cultural significance of the temple and the rampant build up of endorphins and adrenaline that predators go through leading up to their first kill.

I fully understand that I won't be able to execute this playstyle every game, but I find that part of the fun of it. Thanks for the criticism and detailed review overall. I know there's a lot of things I need to improve on and things that could be done better, etc. I'd be happy to review other's apps but I wanted to wait until my own was fully reviewed, otherwise I could criticize others for things I'm guilty of, and that wouldn't be fair.

Final bit, as for the less focus on my character, this is absolutely valid criticism. I had a lot of worry when writing this app, and over the three times I wrote and re-wrote his backstory I was criticizing myself over making him too much of a snowflake. Because of that I choked back details again and again and left his details pretty clouded.
