Zazin was never particularly liked by his peers. He was extremely stubborn, conceited, and brash. He would always try to be the center of attention, the one with the greatest glory- he never passed up an opportunity to eclipse his fellow unblooded in training.
To their blooded mentors, this was both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, Zazin was an exemplary predator; competitive, unafraid, and always seeking a greater challenge. On the other, he was an insufferable hot-head with an inflated ego. Despite their best efforts, Zazin's trainers could never beat pride out of him; even then, they could never argue with his results. In his group, he was one of the fiercest, most skilled, and most powerful combatants.
There was another noteworthy Yautja in his training group, however. A naturally bred warrior who towered above his fellows, making even their terrifying stature seem paltry in comparison. Zazin was by no means short, but even he was dwarfed by the hulking beast of an alien. The blooded thought that having him defeat Zazin would put him in his place, and teach him some humility.
Their first sparring session was undoubtedly the most memorable event for all of the unblooded of Zazin's group. There had been tension between the two from the very beginning, and the trainers thought it best that the two hash out their differences in the ring, so to speak. The general anticipation for this fight was palpable, as after it, there would be no more quarrels; the victor would be right, and the loser wrong.
The match's rules were simple; no weapons, and whoever stayed down lost. Beyond that, it was all fair game. A vicious beating leaves a deeper mark than a regular one, thought the trainers, who were relieved that they were about to get rid of their Zazin problem.
They were mistaken.
The fight was long and difficult, but bit by bit, Zazin wore down his opponent. The massive Yautja's size proved little advantage, as Zazin ran circles around him, always just out of reach of the blow that would knock him out, spewing insults and taunts incessantly. As the fight progressed, the large Yautja's patience wore thinner and thinner, enraged by both Zazin's evasive tactics and the constant berating he suffered. Finally, he had enough- with a mighty bellow, he threw all his weight into one final attack against his nimble foe. Zazin had been waiting for this, of course; the large oaf was both tired and frustrated, so a simple side-step and an extended leg made his colossal opponent crash head first into the ground. Before giving he had a chance to recover, Zazin firmly placed his foot on his opponent's back, pinning him to the ground and preventing him from breathing. The match ended with a final insult- "You are not even worthy to be cjit under my boot."
Now, it was established that he was the strongest of his litter, and could defeat any of the other unblooded in his training group, a fact he often rubbed into their mandibled faces by taunting them openly in combat. Naturally, this only served to further inset his delusions of grandeur.
Zazin was anything but a fool, however. He knew that there were opponents he could not defeat - at least, not yet, anyway. He respected his blooded supervisors for their strength and experience; though at the back of his mind, he was certain that he would surpass them before long, much like he had surpassed his peers.
I intend to play a very cocky, brash, and proud predator. Instead of spending most of the round hiding while looking for suitable prey, I'd make my presence announced and let the enemy come to me. I will do this by approaching potential prey uncloaked, and performing various threatening emotes and showing them my weapons, in a effort to lure them out and provoke them to fight. This doesn't mean murderboneing, mind you; I will still pick prey carefully and thoughtfully. On top of that, I will usually bait enemies into engaging me rather than attacking them outright. Due to the nature of my character, he will naturally be partisan towards attacking those that disrespect him, and only reserve honor duels for enemies who really target his ego. On top of that, he will be very much a show off who prefers style over efficiency in combat (unless his life depends on it, of course). He will openly taunt and mock his enemies, often times placing himself at unnecessary risk.
I also will not tolerate players that act LRP with my predator; if you try to push him out of the way or hug him, he will most likely cut off one of your limbs as a lesson.
He may occasionally have minor spats with other predators, as they consider him reckless and conceited (as seen by his name), but he has no interest in interfering with their hunts or breaking the honor code ICly. He still has a lot of respect for those he thinks superior to him, and would be willing to temporarily put aside his excessive personal pride if an elder ordered him to.
Before you say anything, yes I know this play-style will get me killed a lot and is far from optimal. Zazin is far from an ideal predator. I don't particularly mind, and I think that the will be more than fun enough to play (and hopefully interact with) to make up for it.
Why should we whitelist you?
I've played on this server for over a year now (with a long hiatus over winter), and I'd like to think that over that time I've been a positive asset to the community. I'm more than capable of many different types of RP, and I believe I would be capable of enhancing the rounds I am in as predator; partially thanks to my more unique playstyle, as well as the accumulation of rounds I've interacted with predators on. I also have an accepted synth whitelist, which I think should somewhat help prove I'm a good rp-er and capable of handling an important whitelisted role.
