Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predators background):

Yeyin has always been a pushover by Yautja standards, never killing his prey as quickly as he should, always giving too many chances, too much mercy. It’s nearly got him killed multiple times. Honor should only give so much, after all. What he was giving wasn’t honor, it was compassion. Yeyin has always been curious about prey species like humans and serpents, and spent most of his time studying them, rather than studying combat like most other Yautja would. He strives to learn anything and everything he can about their history, and how they think. He’s also prone to help them out from time to time when he’s not forced to kill them. However, he is a Yautja, he has a penchant for honor duels and feels great pride when he finally brings down worthy prey.

Aaand here's a little story I drew up.

The inside of my helmet glowed with light as the video played again. I will be landing soon, and I have never gone on a hunt without watching the final duel of my father’s last beforehand. His death wasn’t special, many have died in a similar fashion, and it’s far from the worst way to be eliminated. He was killed in a duel with a particularly old Serpent queen during a hive cleansing. It might just be me, but he could have at least introduced himself personally before he engaged her. He’d instead suddenly jumped on her and began to try to finish the job. With the way the Serpents are she knew he was there far before he’d finally decided to strike, but it still feels dishonorable. Once again I watch his final mistake, a misread tail swipe, an unblocked slashing of claws, and a hardened blade of a tail through a chink in his armor. She was too strong, too smart. If he’d gotten to know her he’d have figured that out. There is no shame in picking your battles. I watch this again and again to teach myself that.

I’ve landed while ago, my feet and hands moving quickly as I jump from tree to tree in the dense jungle. I’ve always felt more at home up there, in the trees. So much quieter. There was a hive cleansing on this planet not too long ago, it was supposedly successful, however the hunters who had conducted it apparently didn’t finish the job all the way. These serpents had been given time to mature, and I knew they would be strong. Nothing I can’t handle on my own however. My clan leader had sent me to do this job. I don’t enjoy killing them as much as others, something that I’ve been ridiculed for before, however I needed the experience, as I’ve been dodging hunts for a while now. I’m not the strongest in my clan as a result, but I still keep myself in practice.

As I move, a blotch of red comes into view on the otherwise green display of my helmet. A Serpent. This one appears to be one of the more advanced combat castes, a worthy opponent. Wait. Something is wrong, it’s not moving as quickly as it should, and it’s dripping. It seems to be limping, a few wounds in either leg, with wounds in it’s chest. Bullets. There shouldn’t be Humans on this planet. I wait, watch. The Serpent joins with her sisters, and attempts to heal in the wrecked remnants of her hive.

On the edge of my vision, A few more red blotches follow. As I suspected, Humans. The ones in white. Worthy prey indeed, but what are they doing here?

I move lower in the trees, tailing them. I have a machine translator on me, it’s two ways but translating to Yautja goes much smoother than the other way around. I listen in to their conversation as I drop lower.

“I don’t think this is an amazing idea, these things have wiped out entire squads in the past, I think we should slow down. Running after this wounded red might get us killed.”

“Don’t be such a wuss Donahue, We’ve already confirmed there’s only a few left on this planet, they shouldn’t be a threat. Besides, we don’t get that big paycheck if we don’t capture the one corporate wanted.”

“I know, I just think we should be more cautious. I’ve got a family to return to, you know? Don’t wanna waste my blood on some lizard bitch.”

I don’t know what these ones want with a captured Serpent, however all I know is that it can be nothing but trouble. Every instance I’ve read about of Humans capturing Serpents has gone south extremely quickly. Not one ever stays in containment for long. The Humans simply don’t know how to handle them. I think it’s better if they don’t succeed in their mission, but I’d rather not kill them outright. The Serpents are my target, if I eliminate all of them, I complete both my old directive, and my new personal one. I’ve only got a short while before they catch up, I have to finish this before then.

I jump ahead of the Humans and into the serpent’s hive. There are only three there, I assume there were more, but they must have been killed by the squad of humans outside.

One of them is a young Queen. I doubted there would be one, both because of the state of the hive and the fact that any hunter performing a hive cleansing should take special care to rid the hive of all huggers and drones. All of them are lightly wounded. I uncloak, not that the serpents need me to. It’s more of a formality at this point. The red is still on the floor, the weeds mending what remains of its wounds. The queen stares at me, knowing what I am and what I’ve come for. The other one is a rhino, lumbering in front of the other two, ready to defend her queen.

How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?

I plan on playing a predator that adds a few more rules to himself for his honor. He believes that to truly honor a kill you must know your prey’s ways, and come to respect them. Know the thread you cut, and what falls when you cut it. He watches prey before he kills them, and therefore won’t fight or kill medics who are doing their job, or squad leaders that are giving orders. He also introduces himself and Anything that’s not a tier 3 xeno or a marine that’s clearly competent looks somewhat unappealing, and he tends to let anything smaller go about their business in his presence. He even goes so far as to show compassion to those he finds in a disadvantaged situation. Even with a tolerance that’s much larger than some of his kind, is honor doesn’t allow someone to attack him and go unpunished, or get away unscathed, and he will hunt down and kill those who attempt to kill him to the extent of the code of honor. All in all he wishes to communicate and know his prey, only killing the biggest and baddest, and simply observing or attempting to understand others.

Why should we whitelist you?

I'm somewhat competent at the game, I keep the rules in mind and I like to think that I’m known by several staff. I’m normally on the discord starting around 3 EST if you want to talk to me. I also enjoy the RP that I’ve had with predators in the past, and want to be on the other end.

Well, for starters, the forum activity is a must, and it just doesn't make the cut.

Secondly, the story itself has a few grammar mistakes littered here and there, and while the character is somewhat different due to a reluctance to kill, it doesn't fit with Yautja hunters. If your character really was reluctant to kill, he would be a weaponsmith, or another support role on the ship, and not be out hunting at all unless during sporting events such as Game Planets.

Thirdly, the story ended with your character, who has little expertise due to not hunting often, challenging a Queen and two other Serpents. In the lore, this would result in a quick and most likely dishonourable death for the Predator who attempted this, as a Queen without her eggsack can stand up to two stories tall, and is extremely powerful. Coupled with two other Xenos, one of which was mentioned to be an advanced combat evolution, this is a suicide attack.

After that, all I can remark on is not seeing you at all on the server.

Finally, compare your app to accepted apps.

That´s EXACTLY What the predator honor code says, so, you only waste our time Reading it... [No kill doctors, no kill wounded]. And one thing it´s respect, and another it´s just been a ¨Soft¨ predator, and yours it´s a ¨Soft¨ one. And softs dont even get blooded.

First, forum activity is lacking. A lot. So that's already bad.

As for the character, I have seen them before, and... Well, you rarely RP, and when you do, it fails miserably. Not up to standards for the other characters that have been accepted.

The story is not very good; it seems rushed, lacks anything explaining the character, and while writing in First Person isn't seen here very often, its execution is not that well. It's as if this was being written in a diary by a Human high schooler in class. Not very thought out.

You also tend to get salty and Dickish at times.

Since the first time I saw you around as a Marine, I've always considered you a competent an experienced player, from a gameplay perspective, you're a good candidate your only flaws are the ones stated above and, of course, forum time and activity. I've seen you get really salty on the server to the point you typed in all caps in LOOC about something or other. I think checking back in a few months would be best. On the backstory note, honor duels are great, but I think they're overused with the predators we have now. The part about the curiosity about his prey, and a mention about mercy, is interesting and I wish the backstory expanded on why that is. Neutral, leaning -1.

I like you in-game, staff seem to like you... you're active on the discord as well.

The app is pretty weak, however, and your forum activity is quite low, as already mentioned. I'd really love to +1 you just because I think you'd be capable enough in-game, but I'm gonna give you a -1 for now and hope you come back later with an even stronger app.

Going to put it out there, I think he should get this whitelist. I'll Break down some of the complaints from his app from what I have seen.

Forum Activity: Dear god, I see this one A LOT, for most people I see, they have around, 100 posts, in fact, an admin has about 127? well he -1'd you guys can check up on that, in my opinion, forum activity, is something that is nice to have, I look at the forums, all the time, I don't comment on it, IE: world of guns, if I really wanted to I could go, Retro: Next guide dude! copy and paste that to other guides, and forum boost, me, or just shit post. For me, I know he looks at the forums and is like me, commenting when he needs to not become the next drama alert and cause arguing, and making posts when he sees something that really should not happen or a suggestion that can greatly help the community. +0 here, In my opinion, forum time does matter, but to an extent, and should not be instant -1'd right away

Next thing, Activity in general: Dapper is on every day? Not sure who said it ((a few people did)) but he is on discord every day and plays every day so that's a +1 for me there.

Third thing, The story: When I see soft predator, and mercy, It makes me laugh, If you are to read this, his target IS the Xenomorphs, he did not know the queen was there, he was just going to hunt and stay away from the mother, until he found out that, well PMCS arrived, he does not want to kill the PMCS well because he does not want to "murderbone" if the PMC'S attack him while he is fighting the xenos he will hunt them, self explanatory, The whole time I felt a reminder to agent 47, introducing his name ((Yeah yeah cheesy and cringy)) Was not needed, but it is the way he wanted to write it and wanted his character to be like, and I respect that. About the plainness, Making a special yajuta that everyone instantly knows it is you is fairly hard, and difficult, writing is not easy for people, I easily get writer's block, all the time, could the story be improved, yes, any can, but for the context of the app its good. Going to say 0, also, grammar is important, but a few mistakes are really going to slip by. Also, i\I do not get the vibe of a "Mercy Pred" he just did not hunt down the PMC's

Lore: Here comes the MOST IMPORTANT PART ((in my opinion)) For me it seems like he has it good, he has the, no cloaking while killing, and the "Inner Dialog" makes it so You know what he is aiming for. Nothing in the predator honor code ((http://avp.wikia.com/wiki/Yautja_Honor_Code)) the one I have and the one I follow, says nothing in hunting a difficult target, It even says it in are rules, 2.Claiming the Kill of Another Hunter: To take the Trophy of another Yautja, living or dead, is considered to be a great insult. If a Yautja is engaging prey in combat you should not interfere unless directly given permission. (( 2.No matter how powerful the prey might be. so by him taking on this queen and drone, he is giving a challenge to himself to hunt them down.)) So for me, this is +1 having the knowledge that, a smart disk master can control it with his mind after years of training, and the different upgrades it can have is not necessary, knowing the basics is required, IE: Basic lore, Species name, honor code, ranks, and hunting ways, etc is, anything else, is just extra and can be learned later, ((but having it at the start is always a plus)) IN lore wise, I give him a +1

I have seen him RP, he rps to the point he needs to, not breaking rules, not making trouble, but when he RP's dear god he RP's a few rounds ago ((last night)) I almost cried watching him RP it was generally, amazing, and my hat goes out to him.

You also tend to get salty and Dickish at times. Umm, everyone does, I think if you have never gotten salty, or dickish, you are lying, or not human, everyone does, even Staff, we are not perfect, does he yes, that's the one thing I think everyone needs to stop doing.

I give him a +1 on RP, -1 for being salty a bit too much, at least he is not Wendy's fries level.

All in all, I'll wrap this up with my checklist on the concerns

FORUM ACTIVITY: +0 He has posted, and he looks at posts, not commenting, it's not the BIGGEST thing and should not be shifted on right away, it's merely in my view, a bonus.

Activity: +1 On discord, plays cm all the time, not really going to go into detail.

Story: +0 It is bland, but the lore in it is solid, Lore comes first before hand, showing that you know shit, is better than having a special snowflake, which everyone wants. Really it.

LORE: His lore like above is solid, he knows what he has to, and can easily learn anything else, +1 here.

RP: +1 Read the RP section, really summed it up there

Saltiness/Dickish at the time, I will admit, its a bit of a problem, we can all be if he just gets that under rap he'll be fine. -1, just needs to control a bit more and will be fine.
