Than-guan was a quiet hunter from the beginning, nothing special stood out about him. He seemed to prefer intelligent, cunning prey rather than physically challenging ones. His first hunt, which took place on Munto Codru, was uneventful until a fellow Young Blood and him were ambushed while hunting Xenomorphs in the planets temple, which was situated under the planets northern pole. There, they were attacked by a lone xenomorph, although it was of formidable size. His companion was slaughtered in front of him, while he laid out before shortly being dragged back to the creatures nest. He spent hours there, attempting to free himself, but it was to no avail. He thought to himself, "What if I was stronger, would I be able to escape this horrid nest?" His thoughts echoed in his head as the creatures slowly infested the temple. He eventually was able to struggle the resin free enough from himself to reach for his wrist blade, which he used to cut himself free. He frantically searched for an exit, he heard the primordial screech of a young xenomorph, who was no doubt assigned to keep him in his nest. The creature was small, but agile. He quickly cloaked to close the gap, but uncloaking before he was too close, as to maintain his honor. Than-guan was nothing without his honor, as the words of his clan leader reverberated in his consciousness, "It is better to hunt with honor and fail, than to hunt with no regard and succeed". The beast pounced out him, but his warrior reflexes kicked in and he leaped to the side, dodging it. His awu'asa was burned by the spit of the creature as it passed by. Thoughts of his fellow Young Bloods being slaughtered were swarming in his mind, angering him and causing him to flare his mandibles in rage. He lunged at the creature, slicing deeply into it's abdomen, splattering his syra'yte with acidic blood. The creature had been wounded mortally. Than-guan had nothing but absolute rage flowing through him, and he frantically sliced the creature into an unidentifiable pile of body parts and acid. The kill brought calmness upon his body, returning the stoic mindset which had kept him alive in his endeavors. This was it, he had become a blooded hunter. The thought had quickly passed, as he sensed the presence of other xenomorphs coming to avenge their fallen sister. He cloaked and returned to the entrance of the temple. He was pursued by two of the beasts, although he quickly dispatched them using his ki'cti-pa. He returned to surface of the planet, signifying his ka'rik'na.
This hunt had left mental scars upon Than-guan, but he only used them to fuel his kv'var. He repeated "dtai'k-dte sa-de nav'g-kon dtain'aun bpide", swearing to slaughter any who opposed him or his clan. Than-guan was the sole survivor of this hunt, indicating his prowess. However, he was a humble Yaujta, and did not brag to his fellow hunters. He merely joined the clan with the desire to hunt. However, the act of killing was only the means of an end to the hunt, it was not something he desired. His fortitude on this hunt led him to be a respected member of the clan, but not to everyone. Many looked down upon the fact that his fellow young bloods did not make it back, almost blaming him for his death. He took the criticism harshly, reflecting on it to prevent the mistake from happening again in the future. This was especially close to his heart, as he had trained with those who went on the fateful hunt with him. His mask was marked with a symbol of a claw, indicating his clans dedication to sharp and quick hunts. The loss of his companions and the tradition of his clan would inspire him for many hunts to come.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?
I want to be a predator that engages honorable prey 1v1, not attacking entire teams, but rather a single honorable prey. I intend to make sure that I analyze my enemy, and exploit their weaknesses accordingly. I am by no means there just to kill people. but rather to test my merit against xenos and marines alike.
Why should we whitelist you?
I think that I am a decent player and that I can roleplay very well. I don't tend to have conflict with people, and I am very capable in terms of combat. I also feel that I've played here long enough to be worthy of such a position and that my record as a staff member is a testament to how I handle pressure and responsibility. I also enjoy roleplaying, and I feel as if I can bring a great experience to those that I challenge and my fellow Yautja.
