'Unremarkable' was the quiet consensus of the overseers. Somewhat scrawny, displaying a modicum of talent for hiding and planning. Quiet. Alongside the two other unbloodeds, both skilled, strong and brimming with promise, this was destined to be a brief trial with predictable results. Even as the young trio ascended the steps to the temple, weapons of choice glinting in the dark, his head was bowed as if in deference to the warriors-to-be towering to either side.
Of course, as with any story worth telling, the end does not follow so straightforwardly. Deep in the belly of the stone labyrinth, alone and pressed with the ancient musky air breathed by a hundred unblooded before him, he found his first taste of true mortal combat. The sounds, smells and visceral shocks of a fight with death itself proved a thrill unmatched by any experienced vice of the body. Being a moment away from death is what it is to be truly alive. Far from quick or one-sided, the hunt took many hours of ruthless pursuits, ploys, ambushes with interspersed ecstasy-filled bouts of tooth-and-claw brawling.
The night of the hunt came and went with only one Yautja returned; the larger of the brothers. Adorned with a simple mark of acid-scarring and a new dagger fashioned from a serpent's tail, he took his title as a newly blooded. Disappointed by the failure of one with promise and bristling with blade and caster, the overseers sallied into the temple to retrieve the corpses of those who failed and euthanize any serpents that remain. What they found caused even the veteran Elites to waver. The scrawny Yautja, unconscious but alive, covered from head to toe in tiny flecks of acid scarring and his own blood, at the heart of a great swirl of verdant green. Every inch of the floor, walls and ceiling meticulously daubed in delicate geometric patterns and runes, acidic blood creating intrivcate grooves and etchings in a truly striking and beautiful display of viscera. At points around the art piece, the chitin and body of the dead serpent itself had been roughly converted into gruesome yet alluring sculpture, each piece a unique result of the xenomorph's physiology, realised as true art.
It did not take long for the creations of l'ulij-bpe thwei-n'ritja to become infamous within some circles. Every kill following a taxing hunt seems to fill him with this same artistic passion; perhaps exhaustion mingles with the intoxicating fumes of fresh blood or perhaps the soul of an artist can simply appear in the most unlikely of circumstances. Either way, when a group of prey find their missing compatriot has been immortalised as a great tribute to The Hunt, one Yautja simply appreciates his work being viewed.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator)?
At his core, he's an artist. An artist spends time planning and preparing before putting brush to canvas. The prey must pique his interest somehow first; either through a display of strength or of character, and then it will be stalked and observed for as long as necessary. Once the time feels right, often with some preparation to ensure that they're left alone, the fight itself will begin. The best combat is one that isn't quick or painless, but one that lasts long enough to draw everything out of both involved. It's not a true hunt unless the hunter and the prey mingle their blood. Once the fight has run its full course, it is to be finished with a climactic death.
From there, l'ulij-bpe thwei-n'ritja will immortalise the fight, either at the location it occurred or somewhere more suitable or likely to be discovered, with a piece of art made from the remains of the battle itself. Expect blood painting, decoration, the arrangement of body parts and equipment. Once this piece has been completed, he likes to wait and watch to see the prey discover and react to it. Their reactions to seeing true art may decide the next target of his hunt.
Why should we whitelist you?
Because I'm not a moron who's going to abuse the role, and try telling me ^that^ doesnt sound like something fun to stumble upon as a marine with a straight face. I play SS13 for the stories, winning or losing is just a short-term driving force to create them.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
Nope. Never banned to the best of my knowledge.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Nope.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Stands to reason, yeah.
