Byond ID: Moonloon
Marine Name (so we know who you are, if you play alien mostly, state that here): Andrew Rossberg, though I'm more of a xeno player
Name of the character you want whitelisted (The name your predator will use. This must match your in-game predator name): Nracha-dte Kjuhte
Are you familiar with the
Predator Code Of Honor?
Yes.
Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predators background):
► Show Spoiler
The Kjuhte clan is a small one, having little more than three dozen Yautja. Their hunting grounds are rather sparse, with members of the clan having to travel further than most to hunt worthy prey without encroaching on the claimed grounds of other clans.
Nracha-dte was the spawn of a noted Elite who had managed to claim the skull of two Queens, both in single combat. He was somewhat smaller than the average Yautja, and often ended up the loser in the many brawls typical to the Unblooded. His youth was otherwise unremarkable, however, and he eventually became skilled enough to gain permission for his blooding-trial.
With two companions, he entered the halls of an ancient pyramid. Each managed to slay a serpent and mark themselves, albeit one perished before the whole group managed to retreat from the ensuing hordes. Nevertheless, he was successful, and began his life as a blooded Yautja.
Nracha-dte is a rather strict hunter. He has high standards for his kills, preferring to limit himself from using advanced technology as much as feasible, instead relying on the ancient blades and spears of the Yautja. While he isn't distrustful of the technology per se, he sees them as tools to be used to get to the prey, not as weapons to kill them. In his eyes, there is nothing to be gained from killing even the fiercest foe with a plasma caster.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?

In short, I'll be rather picky with my kills. I'll focus on stalking and observing both xenos and marines, creating an atmosphere for them through emotes and roleplaying as a hunter. The ones that show particular robustness are to be marked as prey, and engaged when convenient. Creating and driving roleplay is far more important than killing and fighting when playing as a predator
Like described in the character backstory, when hunting, I'll limit myself to melee weapons as much as possible. The plasma caster is to be used as a tool to incite fear, intimidate prey, and to scare off and injure obstacles, rather than as a tool for killing prey. If I DO need to kill with it, it has to be for a good reason, such as a praetorian blocking me from dueling an Ancient Empress.
I'll be mindful of other predator tech when fighting as well. The crystals won't be used mid fight, they're there to heal up after a successful hunt. If I get injured during a hunt, I'll just have to endure it until the prey has either fled or been dispatched. Mines shouldn't be used to immobilize prey for a kill, nor should I attack immediately after cloaking. If there's to be any sport in the hunt, the prey will have to know that I'm coming, and not be limited in some way.
I'll also try to have as many honor duels as feasible, be they with xenos or marines. Those are the most honorable battles a predator can have, and in an OOC fashion, I think they're hands down the best fun you can have in CM.
And last but not least, I'll try to limit my impact on the round. More often than not, when playing as either a xeno or as marine, I've felt as if a hostile predator is... more of a tedious distraction than a fun side-character. Predators shouldn't be the main focus of a standard round, that's the marine/xeno conflict. What I'll try to do instead is to drive up the tension for both marines and xenos, and reward dangerous individuals with fun roleplay and a duel with a predator. At no point will I ally with marines or xenos outright, or buddy up with one side to fight against another, this character sees them as prey, not friends.
Why should we whitelist you?
The important question. To sell myself a bit, I like to think I'm reasonably competent at Colonial Marines, and SS13 as a whole. I've played on Baystation for some years now, so I do think I have the skills to RP a pred successfully. What's more, I'm quite a fan of the franchise, and while I haven't read any of the comics, or other stuff, I've seen all the movies and know the lore for preds and xenos quite well. (On that note, if anything I wrote is against CM lore in particular, please point it out.) My forum and game activity is lacking, but that's real life for you. I can't really play outside of the weekends and I don't exactly have access to a computer a lot of the time.
If I get added to the whitelist, I'll try my best to make the rounds more fun and interesting for everyone I interact with. Predators are a bit like how I see the antagonists of SS13, they're there to spice up the round and make it enjoyable for others as well as themselves. To further this, I wrote the character with the plan to avoid killing willy-nilly and instead with the focus to further roleplay and only fight the xenos and marines that prove worthy. I don't plan on being a tide-changing force, though if one side is clearly dominating, I'll battle them more, if only because it's safe to do so.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
No.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Nope. To my knowledge, I've never been banned from any servers.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Absolutely, and that's how it should be.
