Nostalgia of games past.

Post by Sephoris » 19 Mar 2017, 14:08

I thought I'd post something to find out whatever other people have stored away for nostalgia, regarding ye olde games they've played. This link (here) is a memory of playing games like Golden Axe and Bridge hopper (something like that) when I was about 3' 4" tall. Not to mention, most of the games, when you died you had to reload from the beginning, was crazy times for video games.

Times like when you manage this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbYXV0UivpM and get the 100 achievement points!

What nostalgia do people hold?

Oldschool, "retro games"... I absolutely love them, Sephoris.

I miss the 2D ones, with sometimes an incredible depth hidden behind the apparent simplicity.
Or at least a very enjoyable play-ability.

And I miss even the non-graphical games too.

The very first "MMORPG" I played? Is a game called "LORD" - and completely text based.

It was in a time where computers had no internet.
They connected to bulletin board systems through dial-up modems.

LORD (Legend Of The Red Dragon) was revolutionary at it's time.

It's a medieval fantasy multiplayer game you could install in your BBS, and invite the users to play.

Here is a video about it... Take a look. ;)

Friday nights have never been so fun.

And never will be. Ever again.

This is likewise where bramb began saying he lives in albania. They additionally continued pinging me with the albanian banner. They called me female. They called me gay. They said I have down disorder. They called me different names too. Also, bramb said he lives in albania when he professes to live in The Netherlands too. Lying again.
