Re: Project Zomboid
With a bit of some mods, seems more in my opinion more so a game which play with group or mainly friends surviving together. Might just be me havin hard time to survive solo but eh seems like survivin with buds best way to play it. We did have back then a game night in which roughly eh six or several of us having to hold up in some hotel of course glorious papa Apop leading us with well Bill Carson bein there and many others. I mean it is pretty in depth for zombie Sim, which I love due to amount of weaponry and supplies that can interact with especially amount of food. If we had a official server for such, I'd be down tryin survive on that.

Long time ago, I, Ka'Torag-na Halkrath, Skilled Master Hunter Of Prey, Unleashed an unspeakable evil upon Xenos and Humans! But a foolish Xeno Hunter wielder of robustness stepped forth and opposed me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore a gate of Salt of Solitude and flung em into the world of CM, and took out their Facehugger Capabilities! Now, this Xeno Fool seeks to return the favour, and undo my evil reign and of many other predator predecessors!

Re: Project Zomboid
Ah, Project Zomboid.
I remembered seeing a bunch of random videos about it while looking up zombie games being the 14 year old I was. I was intrigued and got it when it was on sale. Also, it takes place basically in the part of Kentucky I live, so that's pretty neat.
If you're a fan of hardcore survival sandboxes, you'll probably like this. You have a choice in how you want your Apocalypse to be. Want a Walking Dead style where they have decent hearing but horrible sight (and smell)? You got it. Want a 28 Days Later style one where the zombies are basically Gods, while there are little supplies to keep yourself alive just in spite of yourself? Go ahead! There's many things to tweak from special events, to exp gain, to loot drops.
I guess I should also talk about character customization. The physical looks of your character can't be changed much. That's because the real magic comes from the traits system. There are several different jobs/roles to select, each with it's own skill sets/traits already implemented. For example, the Security Guard job lets you have a bit more strength and also gives you 'Night Owl', which makes it to where you need less sleep. However, to balance this each trait whether they are good or bad cost a certain number of points. The better the trait, the more points it costs. So, if you go for a lot of good traits, you either in return need to get a crap ton of negative traits, or pick two or three REALLY bad traits. These can range from getting sick more easily to claustrophobia, which in the end can lead to an unexpected death. Seriously, there's a LOT of traits.
However, as fun as it can be at first, if you don't find a server with people or make one it can get boring pretty quickly, or to me at least. All you see in single player is zombies, cars, and the rare helicopter which is mainly in the game to screw you over by leading zombies to your location. Also, content drops are very rare, though they recently did add cars to the game to test them out, so that's fun. Getting mods from the workshop or finding a server to play with will affect how much fun you have and how long you play. I know this as I used to play on a RP server before it got shut down several months later (which not long after it's shutdown would lead me to CM). Would I suggest buying it? I dunno, it really depends on your personal preference. I'd suggest watching a few video reviews or game-play videos to understand it.
