So, basically, TC is a first person derivative of SS13 and 0x10c--
NONONO, wait, come here.
The dev is active, friendly and often posts updates with screenshots regarding the state of the game.
Seems slightly more tech oriented than SS13, with fully programmable computers, powernets and the likes.
A website to answer every other questions is being prepared, from what I gather - in the meanwhile, follow the creator on their reddit, and their twitter.

Tech Compliant
When the voice from the shadows calls you
When the wind whips past your ears
Will you stand when the weight is upon you
Or will you go to your knees in fear?

Re: Tech Compliant
Looks like it's more developed than Centration got in its entire lifespan, would be interesting to see a more in-depth, more modern version of SS13.
Of course, the existing SS13 will always be used, because of all its gimmicks. In fact, the existing SS13 has it's own appeal, due to the entire 360 2d view, which no first person version will capture. Of course, the first person ones will be much more in-depth, and appeal to the more immersion-minded people.

The thing with the top-down view, is that if say, someone enters a room your in, you see them almost immediatly. Can you imagine, sitting at a computer in first person combining viruses? If someone snuck in, you'd probably not know right away, and it would be easy for them to murderlate you.
That's one of the downfalls of a FPS SS13.

I'm building an SS13 clone, just for a laugh, and one of the things I put in is a cone based line of sight.apophis775 wrote: That's one of the downfalls of a FPS SS13.
Even with just line of sight and movement, playing hide-and-seek with my friends on the map was fun. I put in a method to kill the player if you click them while adjacent and not visible on their screen, and it added a pretty fun stealth element to the base game.
