Stardew Valley

Post by monkeysfist101 » 29 Mar 2016, 11:46

Price: $15 (USD)

Concept: Tarraria/Starbound meets Harvest Moon

Premise: You're willed a farm and have to turn a patch of rocks, trees, and weeds into a thriving farm while either embracing or rejecting the megacorp trying to move into the valley.

Multiplayer: Not yet, though four player co-op is in the works.

I've been questing for a new comfy game, and imagine my surprise when I saw this one on steam in my queue. I needed me some more of that good old farming harvest moon gave me.

Anyways, how far in are you all? I'm only on fall of year one... Managed to make a good chunk of change over summer with those blueberries though, the dang things are worth a nice chunk if you can get them to output all month.

Just got the first house upgrade, all the packs, a chicken coop, and a few tool upgrades, but only the pickaxe is steel.

I was looking at the wiki too, only just learned about bundles last night... I really need to visit that wizard and get started on all that crap.

You posted this before me Monkey! Nuuu! But really though, this game is amazing. I've not had this much fun on a game in a long time. Also, I'm pretty sure it was made by just one guy, which is insane to me considering the depth of a lot of aspects to the game.

I'm on fall of year 1. I planted a bunch of grapes and even though they take about two weeks to mature, I'm grossing about 5k every three days.
