Not trying to be a dick or anything, but from what I've read, Only War typically has a revolving door of players, and since it's the imperial guard, a lot of players doesn't mean much. 6 people seems really limited, so I'm just throwing this out there.

Next week's session will be more of a "test run", I'm limiting people because I don't want too many people to frustrated

I'm not very familiar with Roll20, i'm still need to learn it. Since I have some exams in college, we may have our first session in 2 weeks. I've found some free W40K tokens to play "normal" W40K on Roll20, it will serve nicely.

We will be playing a Only War game as the 1st Inheritors Colonial Guardsmen

Go to page 72 where you'll see the creation guide for a character, sheet here, Roll20 may have one on-line. Check colonel jones if you have any question because I have no fucking clue how this system works.

A bit of a backstory (important for the character creation since the regiment influences on your character): The first Tyranic war just have finished, part of Hive fleet behemoth was destroyed by the Ultramarines, however, remnants still fly in space eating everything in their way. The Tau empire also grows after the failure of the Achilus Crusade.

However, not all things are lost.

The frontier world of inheritors just saw the creation of the First Inheritors Colonial guardsmen. A division of the Astra Militarum that will respond to defend the planets in the fringe of the imperium.

They are led by Captain-General Ulysses Skyfall(I promise i'll try to avoid this, i just had to think a cool name), a promoted captain of the Imperial Guard and lord of Inheritors. He's known to be a maverick in relation to his superiors and fairly civilian administrator.

The regiment is a basic Line infantry, The backbone of the Imperial Guard, line infantry form the bulk of every battle line, the core of every assault, and the heart of
every defence. The jack-of-all trades. They are die-hards, The regiment is unyielding in the face of adversity, and will not falter amidst the fury of battle, no matter the horrors arrayed against them.

Frontier World-+3 to any two of the following
Characteristics—Agility, Ballistic Skill, and Perception.

Skills: All frontier world characters start with Awareness,

Linguistics (Low Gothic), Navigate (Surface), and Survival.
Distrustful of Authority: Though they are valued for their ability to act independently, frontier worlders can also be difficult to control thanks to this tendency. This can be particularly problematic for newly raised regiments placed under the command of officers from outside, or for regiments merged with others after suffering losses. However, with time and patience, this friction can be overcome by outsiders who prove that they can stand on their own and contribute to the regiment. Frontier world characters tend to distrust outsiders, especially those handing out orders. They suffer a –20 penalty to Interaction Skill Tests made to interact with unfamiliar figures of authority (such as new Commissars, officers from other regiments. Senior members of the Ecclesiarchy and Adeptus Mechanicus, and other such individuals) and impose the same penalty on Interaction Skill Tests made on them by those people. These penalties can be waived at the GM’s discretion, if the frontier world characters are dealing with individuals who have earned their trust.

Starting Wounds: Frontier world characters generate their starting Wounds normally.

Independent Operation: Frontier worlders are more accustomed to working far from others than many of their counterparts in other regiments. Their activities on their home planet often call for them to range far and wide, often alone, and as a result they develop a sense of confidence in this solace. On the battlefield, this frequently translates into a willingness to strike out beyond the sight of allies, confident that their compatriots will react swiftly to danger. The Comrades of a frontier world character count as being within Cohesion so long as they are within 15 metres of their Player Character.

Maverick- Starting Talents: Resistance (Fear)

Line Infantry- Characteristics: +3 Strength, –3 Intelligence
Starting Skills: Athletics
Starting Talents: Rapid Reload
Standard Kit: One M36 lasgun and four charge packs per
Player Character (Main Weapon), one suit of Imperial Guard
flak armour per Player Character, two frag grenades and two
krak grenades per Player Character.

Die-hards: Starting Aptitude: Toughness

Those characteristics were chosen by RP, I'm not looking for power, we may or may not be underpowered

And oh, I still didn't done the full regiment inventory yet.

Due to being on my tablet, can't take the time to edit the quote, but if you're looking for 'normal' 40k I have a whole steam group on it, however, you need a game costing 20ish euro to play (way cheaper than ordering the real models and assembling them, eh?)

Homebrew things don't look too bad, just let us know when you increase the amount of players in sessions.

I was refering to free tokens to play W40K the wargame using roll20.

And i'm not traveling to europe to buy the miniatures with a price that doesn't muder my wallet and play once a lifetime.

I wish I could live in England a country that GW has a shop/licensed retailer I could play as Astra Militarum Imperial Guard army with mordians and BEEEHNBLEEEIDS while supported with the help of the imperial knights. Just to have an idea, the "Start Collecting! Astra Militarum" costs 85 dolars, adjusting in my currency is 295 reais, that's almost half a minium wage, not counting export costs and taxes.

You don't get stats that way. You roll 2d10+20 to get your base stats. Unless GM says otherwise, you get one free reroll. But if its worse, you're stuck with it. Add the modifiers last (From the Regiment, class, and homework etc).

Now I know. Thanks. I haven't even done Only War or any of the 40k modules so I am completely kerfluffled.
