Make sure that your hive is ready to attack before you attack. The marine are weakest when they're across the river but not in the caves, and flanking/surrounding is your friend.

Once a the walls are up, act like a wave.
Call for your little babes to only attack on your screech. Wait for them to get close whilst being obscured, charge, screech, kill, drag/infect(both optional) before retreating.
Walls and sticky resin are your friends. Doors are weak and only serve to catch your xeno out in the open. Tunnels and resin.

try to controle your casts, having no boilers or no crushers is a veeeery painful experience, announce and time well your screeches cuz them john cena memes is what wins xenos rounds out of a hopeless situation sometimes, also EGGS EGGS EGGS it a simple tactic but very very important as eggs work as area denial, wastes marines nades bullets and gives you new xenos also its insurance if queen dies, also do not try to get out of your way to save someone even if its an ancient crusher, there is nothing more important than queen

Start:
1.Do a lot of eggs and c.r runners for the capture of monkeys (Very important!)
2. Triage the T3 on their individuals.
3. DO A LOT OF EGGS!
4.Collect servivors.

Good start - good win.
P.S: The young alien must not leave the hive after contact with the infantry. They climb on line fire and die from the weapon.

When in doubt, Lay more eggs. Keep this in mind and you'll be better than most queens.
There is almost no such thing as too many eggs.

Listen to me kid... a hive that needs the queen in the front line (excluding the FOB/nexus assault) is a bad hive. In order to be a good queen (which leads to a good hive) you need to COMMUNICATE with your hive. Not to boss them around but give general advice on: the time monkeys and humans can survive in your belly and when should they be regurgitated, use HIVE ORDERS REGULARY to give objectives for each caste and to have evolution requirements... for example: I want at least 2 from each tier 3 excluding prae which I need only one ( I don't care if it takes you a year to write it all down just do it, a empty or even worse a non updated hive orders will lead to a defeat). Don't be afraid to use hive announcements to relay messages. If a xeno doesn't listen to you intimidate her that if she doesn't do what she's told (like a sentinel refusing to guard hosts) you'll call queen mother to make her head explode (if she still refuses to listen actually report her to the admins). NEVER AND I MEAN EVER allow slashing before the marines arrive. Thank xenos who give you plasma and give a good word to those who successfully subdued marines, or if you win an assault saying: "good job sister keep it up" only raises morale.

I have finished games in under a hour and a half in high pop (80-90 players) with these tactics you'll do so as well.

I noticed that planting eggs in a pattern of
xoxoxo
oxoxox
is better then just mindlessly spamming them like
xxxxxx
xxxxxx
you cover more area with egg in less time, making it easier for xenos to spot ur eggs and decreasing the distance they have to go for them
I play Xeno 99% of the time. All castes.

Never actually thought of this, that's a really good idea.

Some minor idea there:
Frequently look at hive status, also never loose track of the chat.

I've seen queens completly disregard one or the other and completly lose the bigger picture of the fight, loosing due to their own lack of information.
I most often remind them of this, due to how I've been in several rounds where the queen was one of the 3 remaining xenos during a Sullaco rush and she didn't realise untill PMCs were pushing us back.

So yea, information is power. If you know what your ennemies are doing you already know more than they do, because you're planning and they're defending. Defense lose against strategic offense, defense wins against dumb offense.

Hope you have fun, see you around.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Stay with the crusher, tell him to follow you, crusher will be your best friend.

Everyone else handled command, I'll handle battle.

You use your tougher-than most exoskeleton and large healthpool to walk right up to the large Marine group, screech, and then get out of dodge. Once you screech, you're a slow-moving sitting duck, and nobody is stupid enough to get into melee range with you.

tell that to my combat knife alien skum

as for being a good queen, lay eggs, give orders, make sure everyone is doing what they are meant to and, if worse comes to worse and you need to go into combat, make sure you got atleast 3 aliens behind you when you go for the screech

Decide up front what kind of hive you are running. Make sure that you know the basics of the map.
Be good the chosen strategy. Decide how the various pieces of the brood figure into it. Your role is to let the others take their mind off things because they follow your master plan.

Have some hive orders already written up so you can copy/paste them into the client.
* Location of hive.
* Where to nest hosts. Where to nest aggressive hosts.
* Do you wish to micro manage upgrade/evolve or do you have some minimum requirements? Do you wish everybody to upgrade immediately if evolution is not available?
* Runners usually look for furries without much ado, but it's a bit unclear:
* Who watches the nested humans? Sentinels? T3's?
* How much roaming should the various tiers of xenos do when they are young/mature?

Pay attention to the chat.

Remember/note the designation (number) of those with key roles.

As queen, always make sure to have boilers and crushers,a hivelord to build faster then your drones and make sure to always answer then a larva in hivemind says ''what should i beh'',Making sure the larvas evolve the right way might change the round more then you imagine

Example: Queen: be drone,larva.
Larva: ok

Another alien: Queen died..we only have one drone..

Drone: i will be queen

*New queen gives the Xenos a major

If a spec goes SADAR,DON'T FOR GOD'S SAKE CHARGE IN FORTIFIED POSITIONS. Make sure your boilers always know if the SADAR is nearby (they have a long range vision),when attacking, ask your runners to find a weak point in the FOB

Once a round,The aliens were attacking north nexus that was heavily fortified, while south nexus had literally ZERO defences, leading directly to the wounded. Make sure your hive is loyal to you and LIKE you, liking is optional, but you will probably feel bad when the round ends and someone in the OOC says: ''This queen was f*cking bullshit, someone ban this incompetent s*ithead!''

If you hive disobeys you once, say over the hivemind if they continue to disobey, you will report to queen-mother (adminbus),if they do a second time, say it again,if they do a third time, report them to the admins.
I play Sydney 'Lilly' Wood, the totally not depressed doctor, And the marine Dylan Bell, that probably joined the USCM by accident.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions related to research.

Almost all runners are in the hive and not pushing monkeys. They are dully waiting for the evolution. :(

Here's a few tips from a noob at queening!

Don't get on the front lines if you can help it.

You're a tank, but you're horribly slow.

The secrets to being a good queen are:

Be polite!

Place the Hive's needs above that small xeno group screaming "call down the pod" if you've slashed all the APCS in the hangar. Not worth clambering up to the bridge unless you have enough numbers.

Only an example, of course.

Think before you act, but don't put too much thought into things. The more time you spend planning, the more time a group of badly trained, disobedient marines has to RAMBO and interfere at the worst timing, or the more time a group of marines has to push their way towards your Hive.

Frontline bases are good! When it's the late game. Don't waddle yourself out to a front line base except to plant eggs, give orders to the specific Xenos there, screech at a group, and get outta dodge.

Remember: You are replaceable. Don't be a total jerk, because odds are, when you're facing down the collective guns of several marines, you'll die, and find a salty ghost chat filled with your servants.

Also: Don't be a friggin RAMBO, it takes time for us drone mainers to evolve. :p

Hope this is somewhat helpful.
I’ve had the pleasure of working under Carson for plenty of time. Just remember, do not question his methods, do not poke holes in his plans, do not defy his orders publicly, and keep your throat out of range of his grip at all times. Is that clear, Staff Officer? -Executive Officer Bobby ‘Sharp’ Dickens, educating a new Staff Officer on how to survive in the glorious grouping of officers.

Greetings, comrades! I’m sure we can talk this out and agree to kill the dinosaurs. What do you say? -PFC Bobby ‘Sharp’ Dickens, moments before receiving a hostile reply from UPP boarders.

Most of the time I play Colonial Marines, I'm the queen. I'm not perfect, but there's definitely a few things that I noticed others really appreciating.

Even though you're the boss and everyone does what you say, you have to be gentle with your servants. You should never lose your temper and go off on another player for making a mistake, because we've all been there.

Give other aliens an opportunity to interject their own ideas and strategies, and reward them for their hard work when it pays off. Another thing you can do that makes people like you even more, is to roleplay with nested marines! Instill terror in that soldier's heart and make them feel helpless. Those last moments of roleplay with that person gives them a chance to smart off, be in character, or be more accepting of their fate(OOCly too).

Make sure there's a hive that's built well and has good rules that encourage fair play and strategy. The only other things I can think of are-

EEEEEEGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSS!

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!(when you have done all your other responsibilities like a good mommy, and want to help your babies take that base)

Yup, you hit the nail on the head. I think really the #1 rule of being the queen should be "Don't be a dick to your underlings", cuz a lot of queens rule with an iron fist.
