He's making a great point here. Xenos would avoid even trying to infect yautja, in fear they'd all get slaughtered by them, defeating the purpose of them existing. Xenos would ultimately just leave the infected yautja near Marines in hopes it'll burst, the larvae would evolve and the Marines would get slaughtered, as both parties alone are huge threats to the Hive. Imagine some new player getting a chance to actually play as a predalien, and the first thing he's met with, is everyone in the Brood just ignoring him, constantly dragging him away, and leading him to his death as though he deserved it. He doesn't know what is going on and yet, everyone around him is treating him like a griefer, or worse, a ERapist.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Well, here goes...
If predaliens were to be ever added i see it like this:

Stage 1:
Predalien larvae.
Simple larva (covered in green blood) with fancier sprite and double health.

Stage 2:
-Hunter Predalien
Your classic hunter with ability to run off of pounced marines when he wishes and ability to keep his tail ready even after pounce, along with it halved pounce cooldown and much more health and a small damage buff. He'd also be resistant to explosions but not like crusher who simply ignores them.

-Drone Predalien
Despite being drone he would be way more combat oriented, he'd have a hunter's pounce that has lower range (3-4 tiles) and all the drone abilities along with way more health, plasma and damage with tackle chance compared to drone, he'd also inherit hunter's running speed and ofcourse the famous ability to infect without huggers. Infecting would work simmiliarly to how queen gut ability works. You'd have to grab the poor bugger, stand on him and click the button to start infecting, ofcourse he may get up and run away if he is not tackled. However this ability would cost 250 plasma and work faster than gut. Drone pred would also have only slightly less plasma regen without weeds.

-Spitter Predalien
Slightly slower than hunter, with boiler's ability to toggle range and praetorean's plasma capacity and regen. This sniper would have his acidic spits hurt like praetorean's (wouldn't be able to spit as fast as prae still) and hit with much bigger chance while also avoiding friendly xenos. Neurotoxin would have unlimited range and slightly longer stun. He'd be able to regen plasma without weeds but still slowly.

Stage 3:
-Predalien Queen
Only drone predalien may evolve into stage 3 and only if queen is dead (No drone predalien won't be killing queen). A predalien queen would have speed of ancient queen and all queen's usual abilities. Now biggest differences: Independancy on weeds, queen would always maintain high plasma regen. Queen will have about 50% more health and plasma pool. and immunity to explosion damage (but not stun). Also a slightly shorter screech cooldown and ravager's damage.

Now the predator changes, yep.

Predators can now be nested but they can ressist out of nest twice as fast compared to marines. Starting the suicide explosion will require predator to stand up and stand still for 3 seconds after activation, only then explosion count will start (much like suiciding by putting gun in mouth).

Before ya'll yell op and throw rotten eggs at me, remember predators will go full ham on predalien and it ain't gonna feel like a joke and everything can be tweaked too.

Phew, this will probably take a lot of time to code, but i'd say no need to code all at once, or even just code only one thing and forget the rest. Not saying it will be coded just as i said, but one can dream... Hopefully it will at least give inspiration to devs.

On May 17, 2016, a group of farmers dug up the diary of an ear of corn named Watson. Here are his entries.

Day 76:
They took Lawrence, dear god Lawrence... They ripped him off the stalk and smeared him in butter, just like Tyler and Jodie. They shipped him off to the popcorn factory...
I wonder what his wife will say.

Day 120: My brother says the VEGANS are protesting for more anti-meat bullshit. They want more of us to die. FUCKING HEATHENS.

Day 153: The ants are eating me from the inside out. They are popping out my kernels and taking them back to the nest. I feel them moving inside me. Julia says the pesticides will end our misery.

Day 300: Sweet Release. I can hear the planes flying over now. They are dropping the gas, it feels so good, sweet release-

I'll make this comment:

There was a predalien in AvP: Extinction and it was unique in that, while originally less powerful than a Queen (or any T3 equivalent, such as a Ravager), it would become stronger as it fought.

Being in combat would cause it to release some kind of chemical, and when that reached a threshold it would moult, becoming stronger and tougher, which would stack infinitely to the point where it was several times the strength of a Queen (requiring god-tier micro to do so, however).

So maybe instead of thinking of a fancy multi-caste predalien idea, you might have an easier time focusing on a single Predalien and balancing that. Just my two cents.

Lore-Wise, predaliens are predaliens, they don't have castes. If I ever saw them in the game it would be something liiiike.

Predalien:
25% higher deflection chance than a Elite Queen
10% More damage with claws than a Matire Ravager.
Speed of a Elite/Anicent Hunter
Pounce of an Elite Hunter
Has the power to take trophies from Humans and Xenos alike.

Big thing is, they'd be independent from the Hive, while having access to the Hivemind, they are free to attack other Xenos.

Actually in one of the AvP movies there was a predalien that was becoming queen, the drone predalien if you will, it had ability to infect as it was becoming queen.
In AvP(2010) game there was a hunter predalien. It was so strong it was slowly collapsing tomb in which it was fighting "Dark" in and could survive a short swim in lava while also swiming very fast in it, and i'm pretty sure if lava wouldn't burn it would be at least very hard to swim in it.
So lorewise there are castes for predalien.
And why would they ever take trophies especially from fellow dead xenos? That doesn't make any sense. Why would xenomorph need trophies? Also why would they be separate from hive? It's just larvae from different host that was much stronger and so it inherited it's strength. Following this logic runners are separate from hive as well since they burst from dogs... But hey you can't even infect dogs in ss13cm. Because aliens are more about gameplay than lore.

I'm pretty sure why pred-aliens aren't added is probably do to the fact how rare it is to actually see a Predator to become infected considering their masks are basically invincible. It'd be more of a waste of time then a feature, I'm only speaking on my own behalf, but not actually what the developers think, regardless it'd be more of a waste of time then an actual noticeable feature.
It's like, why would you go through the process of making a new high teir gaming rig, and only playing flash games on it.

Nayser, you said everything that had to be said.

About the predayys killing xenos....

I never saw any references or action In the comic-books or In Requiem that shows the predalien's being a hostile to they hive.

The AvP 2010 Predalien took trophies from the humans it killed, which we saw in a cutscene.

That's through its instincts, in fact, when it takes "trophies" it's just acting in a genetic instinct passed down from its yautja heritage rather than personal desires. They do this often with the Queen's approval, but they don't know why.

Well i gotta admit i barely remember AvP(2010), going to replay it though. Even if the thing with predaliens and trophies was added, i doubt it would be used that often. Besides, predaliens always turn out to be different, it would make sense if this instinct about trophies could just be avoided by a chance. Just like predalien can grow without predator mandibles.

Ow.... :(

Here is what I think the Predalien should be like.....

It should have A Caste idea and be Whitelisted so new players don't FAIL at it cuz they can't be one.
and it should be part of the Hive cuz we have NEVER EVER seen a Predalien kill it's own kind before...
