I'm curious how much stronger evolving from Young/Mature/Elite/Ancient makes xenos.

For instance I can see that a drone has 12/20/30/50? plasma regen in each of its forms, i.e an Ancient drone has more than 400% of the plasma regen of a young drone.

Anyone know how much damage/health xenos get? Is it a similar massive increase with each tier? I.e A ravager slashes for an average 15/25/40/70 damage per slash based on upgrade level? Or is it less pronounced compared to plasma regen, i.e sometihng like 25/30/40/45 damage?

Does boiler gas / acid spits do more damage as you level or is it just a faster cooldown?
Do slashes have a higher chance of tearing off a limb with higher upgrades?

You're dancing on thin ice here and here's why, discussing variables for in-game damage and exact numbers and stats and such is a big fat NO NO.

Seriously, don't ask about the numbers even if it's in private with staff as i've seen someone actually get a temp ban for it.

We keep our statisics VERY secretive, since it takes the fun out of the game if you know everything.

This community tends to get really pissy when it comes to people trying to powergame here mate.

Last time damage values were leaked, the staff had to rework EVERYTHING due to the fear that powergamers would use the new info to minmax the shit out of their builds and kill what little RP CM has.

Just assume your upgrades make you better and go with that, you don't need to know the details.

If you want to know the numbers, you'll have to figure them out on your own.

And once you DO get them, keep them to yourself. The staff dislikes spreading ANY numbers about combat.

If you gonna ask, why not find?

I know most of the numbers of how good something is or a approximate just from playing experience.

You can do the same, and you won't be breaking anything or having threats thrown your way, as long as you don't spread it of course.

You can get a "general" idea by just playing, like just over a lot of time I can guess "it'll usually take this many slashes to kill someone, give or take", etc. Though overall, we do NOT give out specific numbers, and threads like this are likely to get shut down, this would count as powergaming essentially, and entire things have been scrapped due to leaked stats. So i'd recommend just not worrying about actual numbers, and just play the game for fun, not to win.

I don't see how it's power gaming when you know a Elite Ravager is going to be stronger than a Mature Ravager.

The only "power-gaming" I can see from knowing maturation stat buffs is knowing shit like, "how many times can I slash a marine before they're too far into damage to survive nesting". So a non-issue overall. (As it's something you can learn in a few rounds)

Still, I think a lot of things are a little too rng based for knowing to be entirely helpful.

you could know all the values all you want, but if you point blank miss shooting someone, or have it all deflect by Young Runner (666) (how the fuck does this even fucking happen???) then it really doesn't matter

This information is not something that we want going around, to negate powergaming.

This is a more acceptable question. If it's kept within these boundaries you'll be fine, but if anyone starts distributing numbers I'll be locking the thread. Discuss responsibly, etc.

To the questions that can be answered:
-Yes, spits and acid clouds do more damage as you upgrade.
- Yes, slashes do more damage too.

You don't need numbers to figure this out when you reach ancient hunter and start de-limbing people with no more than 3 slashes.

They made de-limbing take more effort unfortunately when cloning was removed.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. Don't forget a lot of certain damage seems RNG based.

I've seen a Young Runner wail on some guy and he comes out fine, yet in another round two swipes from a Young Runner cause two separate fractures in a Marine.

Hard numbers are one thing, but RNG is another.

Yeah, I decapped a fully healthy marine as a Young Runner; the dude was even wearing a fucking helmet.

So yeah, you gotta have good RNG on your side as well.

RNG is a big part of damage.

Saw a young hunter decap a marine where two hunters and a rav couldn't do it to a SL that had +200 head damage.

I've been 1 hit decapped while wearing a helmet and at full health by a young crusher. I've also had a crusher cut my leg off in one slash without putting me out of light green health. I didn't notice it was gone till someone pointed it out.

You sure? The other day I took a lot of guys out as a hunter and there were a lot of missing hands. I was Elite.

Back then, it was easier to cut limbs off, but now, if you do it, the victim will already be dead. I really don't see much reason for this tweak to be in place, as Marines will be unable to run away, once they're defibbed, they'd already be suffering too much oxygen lost.
