I support disobeyers being punished, but if you are not ordered to allow some other castes to evolve then you have no reason to cry about not getting your evolve slot because someone took it, I always go and do my job yet almost never miss the evolve train. (And for idiots: don't say to ays to let a drone evolve first during the first evolve train, that is RETARDED, the progress needed for a drone to evolve is 500 while for everyone else its 200, you can't make the others wait 300 ticks before they evolve.)

Unless you're queen. Then you can make them wait 300 ticks. But xenos usually evolve anyway.

As dumb as dibs are, first come first serve is just a bad. Announcing your intention is great. But when its 100 time cycles from hunters going T3 and nobody is talking you just know some cluster fuck is about to happen. Even worse is when some do attempt to organize and then some mute rando does whatevs and locks up a slot.

I guess I'll use this thread for my personal view on how t3 slots are working currently, and I hate it. Basically, the queen has 99% say on what who is going which T3, and queens can either have two mentalities, one where they care what T3 you're going, and want for you to call it out, and the other where they don't care at all. Some times they will say which one they are, sometimes they won't. With the first mentality, every queen has their own preference of when they want their T3'ers to call out their wants, some do it right before they evolve to T3, others do it when you're still a larva, and it's basically a gamble whenever you want to be T3 in a given round.

I've had it basically every way that prevented me from going T3: Someone called dibs and the queen went with that. I asked queen if I could be "Insert T3 here" multiple times, and then someone asked her once after me and she allowed that person to evolve and not me. I've also had it where I ask the queen multiple times, queen doesn't respond at all, so I don't want to evolve without the queen knowing, and someone else silent evolves and queen notices this and won't do anything about it. I've ALSO had where queen allowed me to be a certain T3, for me to be that only T3, and someone else evolved before I did, and it was the last T3 slot, and when I tell the queen, she either completely ignores me, or gives up dealing with T3 slots and I don't get it

tl;dr: T3 system sucks ass, seriously needs to be OOC enforced, queens need to stop being silent or not caring as fuck.

I know I wouldn't mind that. Sure it would make a little more menu micro, but then at least you wouldn't have all your Runners instantly becoming Hunters when you really need some evolved Sentinels.

As unbalanced as the 3 Ravager, 6 Hunter, 2 sentinel & 1 drone hive can be it's just a fact of life. The wave of 'dibs on X' at the start of a round is unwarranted however, the only thing that matters is whoever evolves first... For better or for worse. People generally play xenos to chill out and play as an antagonist with multiple dozens of valids to kill.

The queen interface would be cool. Warning the queen. No. But if she got a list, that could be opened. It could literally look like the chemmaker machine. Divided into castes. Then Tiers. And you click a young runner (420) to move them down to T2 early round to allow them to evolve to T2. And same with T3. And then a number showing how much of each Tier is available. Then a further button that "allows all." once you get your early game evolution set up. It'd have the issue of not being noticed by nub queens probably. (I still think queens should be forced to wait like, 30 days or something, like some other servers do with roles.)

The Queen Evolution block isn't necessary, the Queen can just say what it wants and if a Xeno goes against the Queen can tell the Xeno to kill itself to free up evolution space.
