carrier goodness

Post by jalen earl » 03 Dec 2017, 17:22

Whats your favourite way to carrier or your best plays?
Carrier will never be the same but i have grown to like the newer one and adjusted my style accordingly.

Either using the body of a fallen SL as bait to a hugger trap. Or doing what i did last night and waiting for the boiler queen combo in SD then running into the middle of the defenses dumping 10 off in all directions leading to about 7 captures.
Mainly play - SL , SG , SO

Create more traps than japan.

That and back in the old hugger combat days I got 3 marines at once with three throws. That wqs satisfying.
Commander Joseph 'Goliath' Clancy, occaisonal Charlie SL. Widowed father of three. Sufferer of PTSD and extremely Australian.
Corpswoman Judith 'Mèrci' Clancy, quiet, caring daughter looking out for her siblings.
Warrant Officer Emile Clancy, Strict ex-police chief, now a tired CMP.
Xenomorph Queen 'Pandinus' ruler of the Alpha Hive. "I want more children!"
'R'ka Us'Tribi' Serpent Trapper, hateful predator.

Sometimes i miss the old shock trooper carrier combat. But then i remember how awful it was being on the receiving end.

My way now is throw one 2-3tiles in front of a barricade when they arent watching .rush in and slash the barricade till they run up to defend bail back and enjoy

Just played a marine round, got crabbed by trap two times when clearing weed. Over 13 larvas extracted (plus few more waiting) at medbay, Carrier really did well this round.

Carrier(s) + Queen screeching makes for a mean combination. You can take down near a dozen marines with 1 screech and 2 carriers.

A good carrier can stop a push in its tracks with the traps, and make medical perform a lot of abortions.

I think the correct way to play Carrier nowadays is melee huggers, throwing them is useless, the strategy is to either wait for a marine to be stunned from screech or spit or pounce then go and click them directly with hugger, or if there is no stun support, put on frenzy phermones and run in melee hugger the marine then run out.

Best way to play carrier is, indeed, melee hugging. Throwing is practically useless, so you should be partaking in pushes when it's safe to do so.

Boiler cloud and a carrier can do tons of shit. I hugged ~6 bravos that were flanking in a push and practically negated it, with only me and a boiler cloud.

After my recent successes as Carrier, best way to get shit done is spamming as many traps as you can, and supporting Runners/Hunters by hugging their downed stragglers, whilst providing the much coveted Frenzy pheromones they enjoy oh so much.
I play Cosmo Rader, the intelligent man that rocks a good goatee. Usually play as Smartgunner, PO, and Carrier.

I got to ancient spitter this one round, and coordinated with a carrier. I ran into a squad of 10 marines and spammed neuro while the carrier put huggers on the downed marines. Carrier is a support caste though, it can easily move eggs to the front, and can also infect hosts on the move.

Use up almost all the eggs and place traps EVERYWHERE in a small location. Bald marines get massive casualties and you just changed the tide significantly.
I play as Artemis Borovetski.
Charlie squad best squad.
