Which class is the best for fighting preds and why?

As an experienced predator, if there is one thing I know that is best at fighting preds, it is Ravagers.

Nothing makes me more salty then being cornered by one and having my arm RNGed off, which completely cripples the pred and also dooms them to a life of slavery, since cripples are unable to hunt without an arm. It is the reason why I always fuck off whenever I see a ravager near my prey, because it isn't worth the risk of getting one-slash crippled. I don't even hunt them.

I can handle hunters, crushers, and praes, but ravagers are a rare trophy and one I care little to hunt simply for the above stated reasons.

bigboy crushers in tight quarters. they have such a high tacklechance and their stomp can break off arms or legs denying them much use of their various tools.

Dave caused a lot of trouble to Predators as hunter, At least when I fought him he was close many many times but the alien mines, alien harpoons and the stun resist of the combistick helped me a lot to survive the encounters with him and many other xenos; But, from a xeno point of view, Hunter is the better choice if you're not that robust playing as Alien. Ravager has obviously good damage enough to slice limbs, do that and the pred is 2/3 fucked, crushers are a big no predators can easily block or dodge you and scimitar your head open, same with spitters, sentinels and praetorians.

I see people said Boiler... I'm not sure maybe the acid update made them formidable but as long as I recall, they were more a nuisance than a threat, just dodge the acid and slay it.

So I'd say, Hunter in a general sense is the better choice for most players.

If you can’t evolve or such, ancient runners are a decent choice, more so if you have low ping. The tackle chance, speed and hit rate are what makes them deadly

Carriers are pretty useful, most predators will stay away from them, because if they get a lucky hit on their mask and then throw a hugger on them it's all over.

Ravagers and Carriers tend to give predators aneuryisms. Ravager and Matured Hunters and above/Ancient Runners are pretty good for taking one down.

Don't fight them as a Hunter. You can't tackle like before - 3 hits and you're dead.

Fight them solely as Rav or with a mob of Xenos.

I should've clarified, what i meant is that an ANCIENT Hunter can have a good go at offing a Predator, until the hunting traps come into play...

But uh, yeah. Xeno dogpile works best.

Spitter can be a good adition to a xeno mob lynching a predator, Even in small groups, Extra points if you are behind a table or a cade and you spit at the predo from there, i have done it couple of times and they either have to plasma caster or fuck off before my spits start doing serious damage to them

Honestly, I think Ancient Runner is pretty good. I almost took on a Pred myself. The speed is very nice. You have to be very patient and pounce, hit twice, rinse and repeat.

Pouncing preds nowadays isn't a good idea, you can get stunned from it. Really bad if you are a runner and made of tissue paper.

Right now predators got pretty big buff to tackle chance. So, there's only slashes now and you need to remeber that traiding hits with predator is always a bad idea, since they have more armor and stronger hits than most benos.
I would try ravager, but it's pure random(Can you or can't cut off his arm), and ravager is too slow to just fight predator 1v1 since tackle nerf. You will trade 4-5 hits and woop - dead, plus rav have a huge sprite which is easy to click on.
Elite-Ancient runner can be a good idea, with head slashes to try and knock that mask off. Speed allows you to be extra robust and make hits without taking too many hits.
Elite+ hunter. I noticed that Mature Hunter can't do shit to predator 10+ slashes vs 3 hits to me. He wasn't even slowed down a bit from pain and I was on the edge of death, so eh.
Praetorian with frenzy? - It was good before, right now I don't even know if frenzy will be enough to knock predator down. And you need to hit more than 10 acid hits to really hurt predator.

It's been said multiple times, but Ravagers are great at killing predators. capturing is difficult, but if you manage to cut off their legs too, they can't do shit. Good luck getting the mask and three limbs off without killing the predator, though. Arms and face are a priority if you want a predalien.

All of these don't mean shit if you encounter a very smart pred that knows how to properly use the art of Bait&Trap

No caste will save you from the sword in that case (only if literally you attack with a gang of Benos)

Oh well, YET, remember, not everyone is 'worthy'. If you come and slash a pred out of nowhere and you get trapped, nothing stops him from shoving the wristblade up your rear.

I'm pretty sure preds with one leg or no legs can still walk.

But yes, ravager is your best shot to kill a pred, aim for the arms and go to town with a xeno gang. Seems like 1v1ing a predator is nearly impossible now due to the tackle chance nerf. If you really want a predalien, gang up on the predator with an ancient runner smashing the pred's face in to get the mask off.
