You can always find pictures of Xenos that aren't the specific CM sprites as reference.pixiestik wrote:I'm considering making them all. My biggest issue is that it's tough for me to see all of the details on the sprites. I want to be able to make all of the castes look different and it's hard when I can't see them that well. Maybe I can find some bigger pictures of the sprites somewhere.

I did to some degree with the runner but I think the CM sprite made a cuter doll.

Thanks I really appreciate it. I'm going to be working on another CM themed doll soon but not sure what yet.

Hmm that wouldn't be too hard. I could put wire in it so it can be posed like your avatar.

Re: Xenomorph Crochet Doll
That'd be great thanks!
Edit: I mean that'd be awesome to see, like I personally find the old larva sprite really cool for some reason so a yarn version would be great!

good work pixie, I'd buy one.
I'd buy a lot.
Like, three. Squared, and then that squared.
Or like five. I'm not rich.

Re: Xenomorph Crochet Doll
Bro imagine if you made just 3 or 4 of these a week and sold them for 20 bucks a pop online (shit you could probably charge 30-40 for a rare handmade item), but at 20, you're looking at like 300 extra bucks in your pocket a month. and thats if you just make like one every other day. if you buckled down and made like 2 or 3 a day, and/or made different castes, you could make MONEY off this man. I'd keep those designs for yourself and start working on a website.

Re: Xenomorph Crochet Doll
You have to be careful with that, though. Many companies will come down on you for copyright. Even selling a pattern can be dicey.

Re: Xenomorph Crochet Doll
Yeah that's the tough thing really. I have seen some people get around the whole copyright thing with some creative naming on etsy but it's still kind of iffy. I've been kind of busy lately so I'm still working on the larva trying to get it to look like I want it to. As far as making a video showing how to make the runner, I'm not sure if I can do it to be honest. The upload speed of my internet is really bad.
As far as selling these things go, I dunno I'd have to think about it.

Same on ravelry. I got a knitting pattern for Botanicals vs Undead. Good luck with the larva! I wonder if I should give something similar a go with knitting. I made a toy fish once.pixiestik wrote:Yeah that's the tough thing really. I have seen some people get around the whole copyright thing with some creative naming on etsy but it's still kind of iffy.
