Who is the best Bridge Officer?

Post by Xenosandbox » 14 Dec 2016, 09:47

And why is it

Patience ' Patient ' Priebe,

3P, xP, Mam, Sir, Patience ' Snowflake ' Priebe

Deltard's beloved daddy.

Jokes aside I love being Delta BO and I have formed a bond with the squad even if it is random.

Who in your opinion is actually a good BO and why?

To me, any BO that stays dedicated to their squad, communicates often and leads them when their SL struggles to, and generally doesn't SSD 10 minutes into the round in front of their computer is worth praising.

BO is a DULL JOB, and it takes balls to be able to sit through it all.

This. Good BO's are hard to come by, and those that stick through the round are really cool in my book.

I usually stick around until my squad falls apart and can no longer affectively impact the round (I.E Delta gets wiped) so I then go cryo and chill with Delta as a ghost.

I disagree, I've had a lot of fun as BO. I try and get in good with my squad at the beginning, to let them know that i'm on their side. I hound the RO with all their requests, sometimes personally pulling crates to the transports if necessary. I relay everything to the XO and CO, and if needs be I do their jobs for them if they are being completely bald.

I'd say the key to having a good time as a BO is to get an interesting squad who co-ordinates with you.

I myself don't mind a good round of BO every now and then. It is an acquired taste, however.

Most people come here to shoot shit, not sit in front of monitors, push buttons and relay orders for 2 hours. While I have the tolerance, most others don't, hence why so many tend to SSD at some point.

BO is kinda meh for me. I like a role where I can give orders, manage a squad AND shoot shit. Thats why I go SL

BO is boring as shit. It'd be nice if they could pilot reconnaissance drones and such the SL/Engi deploys; something to keep them engaged. Also SL cams being on the armor or basically anything that's not a gun or helmet would go a long way.

Reminds me of the round earlier today. ALl the BO's but me cryo'd and the XO, and despite the swapping they had everys of new BO's, it was hectic.

I tried BO but quit when MP's arrested all of req, hampering the front lines, and there wasn't much I could do about it.

Rather be a SL than deal with MP politics tbh.

Just for the record, Silvayne Bloodmoon is the best BO.
