Well, i really need to write this because I see that MAREENS ARE NOT USING THE MACHINE GUNS NEST PROPERLY

1º THING: /almost/ infinite ammo

Well, i spammed the machine gun for almost 5 minutes, without even stop, and it used 200 bullets (No burst fire)

The machine gun is amazing for supressive fire, you can easily let the alien pinned, and not allowing them to rush your position.

2º THING: Amazing RoF

The Rate of Fire is pretty much... Wow...

It's the equivalent of a smartgun, i think it's even faster. You can easily gib one hunter in 2 seconds, just using the burst fire


3º THING: Nice damage AND precision

Even if it's a machinegun, the precision is amazing, you can manage to hit one entire burst, even if the alien is 7 tiles away from you

The damage can crit a runner in 3 great shots, it's pretty much a smartgun

4º THING: Resistance

The nest can hold 6 seconds of constant runner slashing, so it's pretty robust. Playing some rounds of WO, sometimes the xenos just forget to destroy the machine guns nest, and marines can retake the position, giving them a fantastic advantage


CONCLUSION:

SPAM THE DAMN MACHINEGUN, YOU WON'T RUN OUT OF BULLETS, DON'T SAVE AMMO, YOU HAVE 1500 BULLETS, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN OUT OF AMMO.

I mean, the Bullets aren't Smart Bullets so you'll just end up slaughtering your Fellow Marines, if I'm honest.
To be fair WO Is like the FF Farm.

Might I direct you to Oosala Wookie's guide on firing lanes?

It's easy to not FF, just don't fall for runner bait.

EDIT: The guide is not entirely applicable to the current iteration of CM and is out of date, but still provides useful information.

Don't hold this as a guide for "too long". We are working on revamping them a little to be a tiny bit easier to operate.

I saw you mentioning something on discord about a new marine toy to help stop turtling, I hope it's not buildable MG's or the IR beacon that puts Xur's friendly fire incidents to shame.
