Is it possible for a human to become a predator (I mean as not becoming one of there species)

if so then that's really damn cool and it would really be interesting to be able to become a predator (if your strong enough)

Unless an event is being hosted by the Elders (Headstaff, usually.), then no.

You can't become a Predator, or honorary hunter, or any of that stuff. Running up to a Predator yelling "Make me pred!1!!!1!1!!1" will end badly for you.

However, there are two other outlines I'll give.

Firstly, humans that prove strong (Such as meleeing T2s to death) are usually given a piece of minor equipment. Outside of events, we never, EVER give out any major technology, like masks and armour. That's a bad.

Secondly, one that I've only seen once, when me and Jones did it, was train a strong (Have to earn it) human and setting them against Xenos and other humans. They are NOT given pred gear, at best some shoddy human melee weapons. Survival rate is low, but it is amusing and provides some good roleplay.

(PS: We got the trainee to think we were angels, Xenos were demons, and Marines were changelings. It was hilarious.)

Well, before cloning was removed you could place a human head on a pred body or visa versa to create predators

However, you can also achieve this by defeating a pred and showing him mercy.

In lore, human predators are insanely rare. I think there is only one known human who managed to be taken under their wing to be trained, and even then, most of them hated her.

On SS13 CM, the only way a human would ever become one of the hunters is probably if the staff wills it. You can't really walk up to them and beg to be a hunter due to meta reasons, and the chance of becoming one by chance is quite low due to the relationship predators and marines have (which involves a lot of screaming and shooting at each other).

Sucks but I don't think we'll see it in CM. Predators are fucking hardcore and letting a measly human into their ranks would never cross their mind.
