Me the idiot or how i learned to stop worrying and love the ban

First of all, let me get this straight, this is not an apeal. I am not an idiot, i know those go in the ban apeal section. Not only that, but i don't plan on apealing it, because i desreved the ban that i got. I just came here to tell you just how much stupid can someone be (that stupid being me).

Well, first we need some context.

Me, a stupid marine. Near end of the round, we were evaced. Waiting in the ship to get my butt pounded by our alien overlords, when the A.I said "Alert, crime in course in the room for relaxation. Crime: Illegal acces to somone else's account." I of course, try to do the right thing and went to investigate. When i got there, there was a guy in the floor that needed a medic and around 3000 dollars near him. THIS GUY comes in and he says "Look at all this money!" and grabs it. I switch to the take hostages instead of the shoot where you aim. Just in case i go one handed with my rifle, so that if he ran away it wouldn't actually fire. Generaly try to do a good "that doesn't belong to you" rp. Since he didn't stoped running, i kept on following him. Then i give him the ultimatum. I switch to two hand it, and aim at him. So far so good, maybe a bullet would make him halt i thought. The thing is... me being evaced and ff into crit wich was followed up by a 10 minute long surgery with a doc didn't even healed me completley made me forgot i had the gun in burst fire. Or that i had a rapid fire enhancer. Since the guy didn't stoped, it fired and fucked him up. It didn't killed him, since i aimed at the chest and that 2 out of the 5 missed. Then this random grabs his revolver and shoots him twice again. Now that he's on the floor, i aimed again and ask for someone to call the mts. Out of the blue, my guy unloads 5 bullets in the guy's chest. I don't know what happend. Maybe he stood up and that counts as moving, so it fired, i don't know. The thing is, it fired. The guy dies. Seconds later i get contacted by the lords and saviours admins. I explained the situation, but i know i'm fucked. Admin says "Well, i still have to ban you for unapropiate scaling of the situation". Look, i'm not an idiot, i know when i fuck up, and this time i fucked up. I replied "Seems only fair. Tell the guy that i'm sorry, i wanted to stop him, not murder him".

And that's the story of how i got banned for being a careless idiot who forgets about shit. : ^)
