Too many times and I do, mean too many have I and other marines died in a situation where it would be completely possible to survive, the general problem Ive seen new players doing (which we all did when we were new) Is not worrying about marines on the ground. Believe it or not a marines strongest weapon is your brother/sister. More marines equals a better chance at survival. But newer players have begun to forgo all sense when it comes to wounded/dead marines.
For all who do not know, when you die as a marine you have a 5 minute window where you can be revived and saved. All you have to do is drag the recently deceased to a medic/doctor and tell him to defib. The doctors know what to do but they cant be running around 24/7. So, if you see your marine brother die infront of you do not leave him. Drag him back. Make sure the medic knows there is a relivable marine there and chances are the marine is going to live and thats scratch one for the marines over the xenos. Do not, please do not! Drag wounded marines and recently dead marines into a corner, or somewhere away from the action that is a sure fire way to die. Ive lost one foot and collapsed but because a marine dragged me to the corner of the hall and didnt alert the medic I sat there unconscious for 10 or so mins before finally dying. Even today a marine dragged my wounded self off a shuttle but instead of telling the docs and medics I was dragged onto the same tile as dead xeno along with several other dead marines and I died. One thing you can do new players is examine the body at the bottom it will list whether the person has a pulse, no pulse or no pulse and soul departed. No pulse and soul departed means the person is completely dead, no defib will work. No pulse means the marine can be revived if you are quick enough. So please pay attention and dont drag unconscious living marines into a pile of the dead to be taken to the morgue. Take it upon yourself to save a fellow marine.

This is also not meant to be snarky or rude but just a PSA. Someone told me that instead of complaining about marines never getting revived that making a PSA would be better for all. Cheers.

No pulse soul departed means they ghosted, but they are potentially revivable if they re-enter their body. I think if you attempt to defib them it will give them a message. Regardless, a medical HUD will show a little icon if they are revivable. All doctors and medics should already be wearing this, so there shouldn't be any need to tell them if someone can be revived. Just hope they didn't forget to bring their defibrillator :)

If you found a body possibly dead for a long time, you should warn the medic that there may not be much time for revive imo.
EDIT: And telling that the marine just died also helps the medic.
